At present,China has entered a new era of development. With the country’s emphasis on the development of cultural industry, the cultural industry is gradually moving towards a higher level. As a new industry, culture has made great contributions in promoting economic development, adjusting industrial structure and improving employment quality. However, although China has made some achievements in the development of cultural industry in recent years, there are still some problems in the cultural development of China, such as increasingly fierce regional competition in cultural industry, obvious development gap between the east, the west and the northeast, and prominent unbalanced development. In order to further promote the faster, better and more balanced development of China’s cultural industry,it is particularly important to deeply study the development of China’s cultural industry. This paper takes the development of cultural industries in 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions(except Tibet)in Chinese mainland as the research object, describes the current situation of cultural industries in China through descriptive statistics, measures the inter-provincial and inter-regional differences in the development of cultural industries through location entropy and theil index method, and finally analyzes the factors that affect the development of cultural industries in China and four major regions by spatial econometric analysis. It is found that in recent years,China’s cultural industry has made rapid development, and all indicators show a sustained growth trend. The promotion of cultural industry to economic growth is stronger and stronger, but the development of various provinces is not balanced. From the results of location entropy and theil index, the development of cultural industries in four regions of China shows obvious overall differences, and this difference is mainly caused by regional differences. As a whole, the development of China’s cultural industry shows a trend of decreasing development advantages from the eastern region to the central region to the northeast region and then to the western region. In order to explore the causes of the unbalanced development of cultural industries, the spatial autocorrelation analysis was carried out first. The cultural industries in various provinces in China show strong spatial correlation,so it is necessary to establish a spatial econometric model for research. From the analysis of the influencing factors of national cultural industry development,it can be seen that the regional economic development level, urbanization level, the number of employed people in culture and education, the number of college graduates and the level of scientific and technological development play a significant role in promoting the development of cultural industry. After analyzing the influencing factors of cultural industry development in four regions,it is found that the explanatory variables have different effects on cultural industry. Finally, according to the research results, some targeted policy suggestions are put forward, such as improving the scientific and technological content of cultural industry and actively promoting urbanization. |
