High-quality inventory management is an important part of the actual production of large manufacturing enterprises,and its efficient and scientific management measures are of great significance to shorten the processing cycle of products and improve the efficiency of material use for actual production.However,the current understanding of inventory management in China’s manufacturing enterprises is still obviously insufficient,and in actual production there are problems such as serious inventory backlog and excessive proportion of inventory cost to total production cost.Therefore,how to maintain scientifically sound inventory levels in manufacturing companies remains a great challenge for today’s inventory management researchers.In this paper,taking Y auto parts manufacturing company as an example,we analyze the unreasonable phenomena in its inventory management,and optimize the inventory management system of Y company by using ABC classification method,simulation and simulation analysis method and expert scoring method from the relevant theories of inventory management,and the main conclusions are as follows.(1)This paper summarizes the problems in the actual production of Company Y through a field visit to Y Auto Parts Manufacturing Company,and finds out the problems in the actual production of Company Y through the study of the current situation and characteristics of the company’s inventory management,and optimizes the inventory management structure of Company Y through ABC classification method,quantitative analysis method and simulation analysis method and conducts detailed analysis for the order management plan and parts acceptance and storage process of Company Y.(2)This paper analyzes and organizes the actual production data of 345 parts in three production lines from Company Y,and applies MATLAB software to conduct fuzzy cluster analysis on the above 345 parts inventory,finally arriving at 22 types of A parts,70 types of B parts and 253 types of C parts.(3)This paper uses Flexsim2019 software to optimize and simulate the quantitative ordering model for Class A parts.The simulation results show that the ordering service level of KT screws has increased from 73.61% to 90.56%,which is 23.03% higher than before the simulation,while the average inventory quantity has decreased by 17.37% before the simulation and the inventory turnover rate has increased by 18.74% compared with before the simulation,indicating that the inventory turnover has been effectively improved,At the same time,the optimization strategy is proposed for the problems such as the unreasonable process of parts collection and storage proposed in the previous article.(4)This paper uses expert scoring method to optimize the inventory structure by selecting three main inventory indicators such as inventory turnover rate,service level and total inventory cost through actual survey of the staff in the inventory management department of company Y.The results before and after optimization show that the total inventory cost of company Y decreases by about 3%,the overall inventory service level increases from 72.89% to 82.21%,and KT screw improves by 17.4% before and after optimization.the inventory service level increased by 17.4%,while the inventory cost of UV curing paint decreased by about 17.2%,and the inventory turnover rate increased by 21.17% compared to the pre-optimization period,which can be seen as a significant increase in inventory turnover,further reducing the company’s operating costs. |
