Research On Allocation Of Empty Railway Containers In The Rail Freight Area

Due to objective reasons such as differences in the distribution of natural resources within the region,unbalanced industrial layout and unbalanced economic development,as well as subjective reasons such as uneven layout of railway container handling stations,uneven distribution of container cargo sources,unbalanced allocation of transport capacity between stations and unreasonable scheduling schemes,the container flow is unbalanced in space and time,resulting in the allocation of empty containers.It is of theoretical and practical significance to study the problem of empty container scheduling in the region and formulate a reasonable and effective empty container allocation scheme to meet the needs of container handling stations in the region,maintain the balance within a reasonable range,and improve the level of railway container scheduling.Firstly,the article analyzes the factors that lead to the low efficiency of railway container transport service,the long container turnover time and the increase in the number of empty containers deployed,such as the imbalance between the arrival and delivery of heavy railway containers,the uncertainty of the quantity and time of demand.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the existing methods of empty container allocation,systematic research is carried out from the aspects of handling station,container operation process,causes and characteristics of empty container allocation problems,scheduling system,and quantitative analysis of empty container allocation problems in the region is carried out with the imbalance degree.Then,according to the actual situation of railway container empty container allocation,under the condition of fully meeting the customer’s empty container demand,the transportation cost and transportation time are taken as the main factors to establish a dual-objective empty container allocation optimization model,and the operation mode of empty container allocation strategy is determined by comparing the calculation examples.Finally,taking a bureau in Northwest China as an example,the article uses the example verification scheme to calculate and organize the allocation of empty containers of railway containers in the bureau,and formulates a reasonable allocation scheme,which increases the income of railway transportation enterprises and reduces the cost and time of empty container allocation.The article analyzes the allocation strategy of railway empty containers within the region and proposes measures and suggestions for developing the allocation strategy of empty containers within the region,hoping to provide reference for improving the service efficiency and quality of railway enterprises.The article analyzes and studies the problems and schemes of empty container allocation in the rail freight,and gives the measures and suggestions for formulating empty container allocation strategies in the area,hoping to provide references for improving the service efficiency and quality of railway enterprises.
