| Street space is an urban space closely related to people’s lives, and the street interface is also the main factor affecting people’s urban cognition. At present,China’s small town streets pay attention to the docking with the superior planning, but ignore the details of the small town design, resulting in an increase in the negative evaluation of the interface of small town streets. On the other hand, with the economic and social development of small towns, the demand for street interface has gradually changed from the needs of municipal functions to the needs of humanization.Taking the interface morphology of small town streets as the research object, and taking virtual reality platform experiments and statistical quantitative analysis as the research methods, this paper constructs a research method for small town interface design based on virtual reality technology and statistical quantitative analysis, and combines multidisciplinary related theoretical basis to explore the relationship between interface morphology and psychological cognition of small town streets. The interface cognitive experiment adopts the method of virtual reality scene roaming simulation, collects participants’ psychological cognitive data through questionnaires, and uses SPSS statistical software to quantify the data.According to correlation analysis and regression analysis, the correlation relationship and functional relationship between the quantitative indicators of physical morphology of street interface and psychological cognitive evaluation factors were determined, and the numerical range of suitable morphological scale of the interface was further analyzed. The design points of various objective physical quantities in the interface morphology design of streets in this small town are obtained.Based on the experimental results,a variety of strategies and suggestions are put forward to apply them to future street design, refine interface design indicators, and provide reference for improving the psychological environment quality of streets in small towns.Taking Huangshui Town of Chongqing as an example, this paper pays attention to the psychological feelings of pedestrians in street evaluation from the perspective of humanism, and further promotes the integration of top-down design ideas and bottom-up research ideas in planning and design, forming a supplement to the design of small towns. The article is divided into five chapters, the first of which is an introduction to the background and direction of the research. The second chapter is a theoretical research part, which summarizes the theory of street and virtual reality technology. The third chapter is the main part, which elaborates on the entire interface cognitive research experiment.Chapter 4 is the application and recommendations of the research results.Chapter 5 is the conclusion and outlook. |
