With the systematic and diversified development of urban underground space, underground space has gradually become an important part of the urban external environment. Some social activities in the city have also been transferred from the ground to the underground. The underground plaza is an important carrier of these social activities. As an important node in urban underground space, underground plaza plays an important role in urban underground space. At present, the underground space development technology is constantly updated and improved, and the physical environment is gradually improved.People meet the basic physical requirements and gradually begin to consider many factors related to spatial cognition and spatial comfort. The architectural interface is the “media” for people to design, shape and recognize the space.People's perception of urban public space is largely influenced by the architectural interface.Different interface scales have created different spatial effects.Understanding and mastering the influence of interface scale on spatial cognition is the premise of forming humanized design. This paper starts from the lack of humanized design research on the interface scale of underground squares in China, and relies on the immersive virtual reality system(IVRS)as a platform to explore the underground plaza with the guidance of experimental psychology, urban design and isovist analysis. The influence of interface scale on spatial psychological cognition. It is hoped that through the research process and conclusions,it can provide reliable theoretical basis and design suggestions for the humanized design of the underground square interface scale. When reviewing the existing literature, the author also found that there are few studies on underground plazas in China, and there is a big gap between the underground environment and the ground environment. The humanized scale design of the underground plaza interface cannot directly refer to the existing design theory. At the same time, most of the relevant literatures currently focus on the existing ground environment, and lack of experimental research, which leads to the lack of sufficient persuasiveness of the research results due to the inability to effectively control the interference factors. In this study, the interface scale of the underground plaza was selected as the research object, and the correlation between the interface scale of the underground plaza and the spatial psychological cognition was studied.Through the investigation and summary, the main components of the underground plaza interface and the corresponding scale numerical interval were combined with the orthogonal experimental design to form the experimental samples of this study.Based on this, the virtual underground plaza environment in this experimental research was constructed based on the immersive virtual reality system(IVRS).The experimental design is guided by experimental psychology, and the research framework of “interface geometry-space psychology cognition” is constructed.Combined with the previous urban design classic theory and isovist analysis theory, this study quantifies the interface scale of the underground square to form this experiment. The independent variable forms a 7-level semantic scale by collecting intentional words suitable for describing the interface scale, and then quantifies the spatial psychology of the subject to form the dependent variable of the experiment. Finally, the SPSS statistical analysis software is used to analyze the independent variable.Based on the relationship between the dependent variables and the factor analysis, the main interface scale indicators affecting the spatial psychological cognition in the underground plaza are summarized and the appropriate scales are summarized, which provides a feasible design for the humanized scale design of the underground plaza interface.Suggest.Through the regression analysis, the specific quantitative relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is established, which provides the possibility to scientifically evaluate the space environment under the influence of the interface scale of the underground square. In this study,a total of three experiments were carried out. Results of Experiments 1 and 2 show that the aspect ratio D/H of the underground plaza is the main factor affecting the feeling of depression. The value of the space between 6.3 and 7.4 is better. The aspect ratio L/D is closely related to the intimacy. It is more suitable to display the aspect ratio between 1.1 and 1.5;the openness is largely affected by the base area S,and the second is the height;the interface density can be used as the control index of the side interface of the underground square, and its space There is a strong correlation between cognition. The experimental data show that there may be a kind of plaza with better spatial experience under the influence of interface morphology in the underground plaza with an interface density of 0.286~0.483.Experiment 3 is aimed at the study of the stop activity in the underground plaza.Combined with the isovist analysis theory, the influence law between the dwell activity and the spatial view index is discussed. The study shows that there are mainly “boundary effects” and “island effects” in the underground plaza;the interface density is lower, the proportion of the spatial interface opening is larger, and the staying intention of the plaza is more intense;the area where the staying activity occurs frequently is its isovist area and perimeter The values are higher and the numerical distribution of the clustering coefficient shows a significant median characteristic.
