| Taiyue Mountain Range and Luliang Mountain Range are located in the western part of Shanxi province, which is an important part of Shanxi Plateau. There is a north-south parallel area between Jiexiu in Jinzhong and Hongdong in Linfen, which is called Taiyue-Luliang Mountain Area.Mountainous terrain is steep, the Fen River flows through it to form an impact canyon, which is an important channel connecting the middle and the southwest of Shanxi, known as "the thoroughgate between the Sichuan and Beijing".The formation and development of mountain settlements in the region was affected by many factors: The natural geographical environment such as loess tableland-landform,abundant mineral resources and poor farming conditions laid the spatial foundation, while the frequent wars, cultural communication and the rise of Shanxi merchants changed the trend of spatial development. In this paper,Dongjialing Village,a representative settlement in Taiyue-Luliang Mountain area,is selected as the research object, and the development and evolution of the settlement space, spatial form and the morphological characteristics of the courtyard space are deeply studied, the spatial form characteristics are summarized, and the development mode of the settlement is analyzed. This study not only enriches the research results of Shanxi mountain settlements, but also provides a new perspective and a new method for traditional settlement research.Specific to the research process, firstly, through the summary and analysis of relevant literature, oral history and geographic information data, the relevant regional background was sorted out,the types and development process of mountain settlements were summarized, and the development vein of Dongjialing Village was clarified.Secondly, from the perspective of diachronic analysis of settlement location and development process, with the help of GIS,oblique photography and other quantitative analysis methods, analysis of settlement development process to the natural environment adaptation changes;Next, the spatial form of the settlement is studied at the macro level, the spatial pattern of the settlement is studied, and the spatial elements of the settlement, such as streets, roads, residential clusters and public nodes, are analyzed from the meso perspective.Under the guidance of the shape and structure integrity, the spatial development and form of the courtyard are comprehensively analyzed at the micro level, and the causes of the formation of spatial representation are deeply explored. Finally, the paper summarizes the spatial development and morphological characteristics, and clarifies the influence of different development modes on Dongjialing village space.Through the study of Dongjialing Village,it is found that its development process has obvious stages, and the settlement has gone through four stages of development: original prototype-expansion and development-shape and structure integrity-modern times.Natural environment, historical events, population changes, commercial achievements and other factors have different degrees of influence on the development of the settlement at each stage.Through the study on the multi-level spatial form of Dongjialing Village, the spatial elements of the settlement are clearly structured, and there are mainly two types of development models:environmental adaptation and builder leading, and the two types of development models have led the development of the settlement space from different periods.Under the common influence of "two models and multiple factors",the settlements in the region eventually formed an organic whole that adapted to the natural and human environment. |
