Research On Translation Design Of Jiangnan Architectural Symbols In Rural Cultural Space

Under the strategy of rural revitalization,villages and towns in China get excellent development opportunities and attract the attention of social groups.For example,with the impact of metropolitan culture,urban life and other external forces,the local culture that originated in the countryside is facing the plight of depression,and the local space is gradually losing its characteristics,so the reconstruction of rural cultural space is very important.As an important carrier of rural culture,the village environment and architecture’s functional form and material color are the reflection of certain regional ideology.This paper focuses on the land in the south of the Yangtze River,which breeds many splendid cultures,and studies the ideographic characteristics of the rural environment space in the south of the Yangtze River from the perspective of semiotics.At the same time,it takes Houbu Village in Suzhou as a case to carry out theoretical design practice,verify and enrich the rural design methods from the perspective of semiotics,and make it more reasonable to convey humanistic values in the rural space.At the theoretical level,this paper starts with semiotics,refines the ideographic form and interior connotation of symbolic language of Jiangnan architectural space,and interprets the expression of architecture in modern space design creation.At the same time,the characteristics of architectural symbols in the development process are summarized,and the universal cultural translation methods and cultural interpretations of architectural space symbols are obtained.Secondly,by interpreting the composition of rural culture in the south of the Yangtze River and the existing spatial characteristics,combining with the orientation and actual demands of local spatial culture,this paper puts forward the design strategy of this kind of space by means of symbol translation,and takes Luxiang Village in Suzhou and Putang Village in Jinhua as the analysis objects.At the level of design application,this paper,through extensive online data collection and offline field investigation,understands the objective situation of Houbu Village,digs the local cultural value and the development intention of local residents,defines the design orientation under the micro-renewal of rural space,and intervenes in the village from the perspective of traditional building components as symbolic language as cultural semantics.It has formed a design pattern of three major themes: the water gathering space with cultural performance as the core,the rural shared space with public life as the leading factor,and the landscape walking space with ecological green as the concept,giving full play to the advantages of Houbu Village’s cultural heritage and providing strong support for semiotics’ cultural translation design theory.As the carrier of rural traditional culture,it carries not only people’s collective memory of the times,but also everyone’s unique homesickness.Today,when the population is gradually flowing from rural areas to big cities,the implementation of the national strategy of rural revitalization and the re-inheritance of the profound local culture call for contemporary designers to pay more attention to the inner interpretation of rural culture and the warmth of rural space.This paper also provides reference for the theory and practice of rural design under this spiritual power,and looks forward to the better vitality of the countryside tomorrow.
