Since the reform of the civil aviation system,China’s air transportation industry has achieved rapid development,and the number and output of airlines in the market have also shown a significant increase.Moreover,in recent years,due to the impact of the COVID-19,the air passenger transport market has experienced a deep reshuffle,which has led to a complex and disorderly relationship among airlines.Clarifying the competitive relationships and landscapes of China’s passenger airlines during the epidemic and non epidemic periods,and analyzing the impact of the competitive relationships and landscapes of airlines will provide heuristic reference for promoting healthy competition among enterprises and forming an orderly competitive market.Therefore,the research mainly focused on the following aspects:Research on competitive relationships and competitive landscapes based on the "airline" relationship network was carried out.The passenger airlines’ unweighted competition relationship network and weighted competition relationship network were constructed.From two perspectives of social network analysis: a relational perspective and a structural perspective,the competitive relationship and landscapes among domestic passenger airlines during normal and epidemic periods were analyzed.Result: China’s passenger airlines have frequent but insufficient competitive interactions,and the impact of competition is weak.The competition is uneven,and the four major airlines(CA,CZ,MU,HU)have a high competitive position.State-owned,full-service,mainline airlines have high market exposure and fierce competition;Research on airline competition landscapes based on the "airline-route" relationship network was carried out.According to the impact of differences in competitive advantage on the competitive landscapes,the weighted bipartite networks of airlines and route based on competitive advantage was constructed.Complex network topology analysis methods,community structure research methods,and node importance research were used to analyze airline competitive route network characteristics,route competition landscapes,and distribution characteristics of competition landscapes under the influence of advantages.Result: The scale and efficiency of the airline network that China’s passenger airlines participate in competition are relatively low,with significant differences in airlines’ competitive advantages,and the distribution of competitive advantages is uneven,mainly concentrated in trunk hub areas;Research on the impact of airlines’ competitive relationships and competitive landscapes was carried out.According to the focus of industrial organization research: the impact of market structure on output performance,therefore the article focused on analyzing the impact of competitive relationships and landscapes on output.The indicator system of influencing factors was constructed and the panel regression model was used to analyze the impact of competitive relationships and landscapes on output performance of China’s passenger airlines.Finally,the inspiration was drawn and corresponding suggestions were proposed.Result: There is a significant "inverted U-shaped" relationship between airlines’ output performance and competition intensity.A certain degree of competition can enhance airlines’ output,while excessive competitive pressure can lead to lower airlines’ output and affect airlines’ development.At present,our country small-scale,low degree,mainly focuses on the trunk and hub market competition landscape,which has a significant influence on airlines’ output.
