Research On The Strategies To Enhance The Vitality Of Public Space In Langzhong Ancient City Based On Space Syntax

With the continuous advancement of urbanization construction,the scopt of historical heritage has gradually expanded from point distribution to surface distribution,and the protection of historical culture is acing more complex situations.As an area of valuable historical,cultural,artistic,and economic and social value in the city.thc protection and renewal of ancient cities have become a research hospot in related fields.Although certain achievements have been made,series of difficult to solve problems are still cxposed,and the public spaces in ancient cities often lack in-depth exploration of the essence of the space within the block durins transformation and renovation.How to support the planning and design of public spaces in ancient cities through scientific and quantitative mcans,furthcr optimize the environment of public spaces in ancient cittes,and strengthen the quantitative analysis and research of public spaces in histiorical and cultural cities,in order to maximize their inherent potential,is a topic that must be faced today.Based on the Space syntax theory,this study takes Langzhong Ancient City as an example to explore the optimization of the public space environment of,revecal the internal logic of the spa tial structure of the ancient city,and demonstrate the existing problems,so as to propose protection and renewal strategies,with a view to providing a certain reference for the future renewal and development of the ancient city.Through field visits and questionnaire surveys,after in-depth research on the current use of public space in Langzhong Ancient City,the axis method in Space syntax analysis method is mainly used to analyze the overall public space structure of the ancient city.lt is concluded that Langzhong Ancient City has a good spatial structure,inseparable spatial form,human activities and business distribution uneven flow of people in streets and alleys,and dynamic faults in the north and south spacc,Summarizc the diverse and multi-level characteristics of the public space structure in Langzhong Ancient City Based on the analysis of the results combined with the unique hustorcal,cultural,and natural cnvironmental characteristics of Langzhong Ancicnt Cit optimization design strategies were proposed from a macro to micro perspective and design practices were carried out From a quantitative perspective,study the distribution patterns and node forms of existing puhlic spaces in the ancient city of Langzhong.By optimizing the envirinment of public spaces tn meet the high-level needs of tourisis and residents,guide users’ behavior and activities,stimulate the vitality of the ancient city space,improve the quality of life of the ancient city resdents,and continue the cultural heritage of the ancient city.
