In recent years, with the development of ecological protection and high-quality development strategy, the protection and utilization of heritage resources in the Yellow River Basin have become the focus of academic attention. In this study, the landscape factors of the ancient town of morainkou,a famous historical and cultural town along the Yellow River of Shanxi Province, were classified and identified by the theory of landscape genetics, and the landscape genetic map of the ancient town was established. On this basis, the identification factors were sequenced by analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and the index system of landscape gene sequencing in morainkou ancient town was constructed. Then, the significance of different factors in landscape landscape was assessed quantitatively, core landscape genes were extracted, and till was used in landscape conservation and design renewal through gene implantation. It provides new ideas for protecting and updating the same kind of heritage resources. The contents and main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The related researches of morainekou ancient town and landscape gene theory were combed. This paper summarizes the present research results and the research methods and practice of landscape genes in morainekou ancient towns, and puts forward the idea of constructing landscape conservation and design renewal strategy of morainekou ancient towns based on the theory of landscape genes.(2)At first, till was classified into four categories: layout characteristic gene, environment characteristic gene, architecture characteristic gene, culture characteristic gene, based on the basic data of morainkou ancient town research, then a gene-recognition index system of morainkou ancient town containing 4 categories,10 factors and 33 indicators was set up.Then, combining elements extraction method, pattern extraction method, structure extraction method and meaning extraction method to identify genes, the landscape gene map of morainekou ancient town was established.Third, till landscape genes were sequenced and extracted.Morainkou ancient town landscape gene sequencing index system was established by analytic hierarchy process.Delphi method and tomography method were combined to determine the index weight, and the key gene of morainkou ancient town was extracted from the sequence results.Fourthly, based on the index system of landscape gene sequencing of till ancient town, questionnaire survey was conducted, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to quantify the data, and the current situation of landscape gene was found: lack of marina culture, confusion of function layout, serious damage of streets and alleys, decline of folk culture.(3)Based on the results of landscape gene extraction and landscape gene status evaluation of till ancient town, and under the view of landscape design, this paper puts forward landscape protection and design renewal strategy for moraine ancient town, including: marina culture protection and utilization, functional layout continuation and improvement, street space optimization and renewal, folk culture display and inheritance, and carries out concrete project design to achieve the research purpose of landscape protection and renewal. All in all,the methods of gene extraction and status evaluation, which are combined with qualitative and quantitative research, can provide theoretical and empirical reference for the protection and utilization of other cultural heritage of the same type.In environmental economics, environmental resources including environmental quality are categorized as amenity resources.Due to its importance to human welfare, the amenity resources theoretical study and valuation is an ongoing issue at the academic frontier in the environmental economics area.
