Study On The Application Of Geomantic Omen Theory In The Planning And Design Of The Environment Outside Urban Residential Areas

The construction of national forest cities promotes the sound development of urban ecology in China.As the foundation of urban ecological environment,the planning and design of the environment outside residential areas meet people’s increasing demand for a good living environment,which is an important part of national development and construction of new cities.In recent years,the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional culture has been highly valued,and Feng Shui is also considered as an important part of Chinese traditional culture.Geomantic omen theory accords with the Chinese way of thinking and is the embodiment of Chinese civilization values.The concept of site selection planning with Chinese characteristics,such as landscape thought and creative wisdom,can be used for reference for the optimization of modern urban environment in China in the new period.Urban living environment includes indoor part and outdoor part.Based on the successful housing cases in China,this paper makes an in-depth study on the application of Feng Shui in the living space landscape of contemporary northern cities through reference and field investigation.This paper discusses the origin,development trend and basic concepts of Feng Shui,defines the scope and basic concepts of the external environment of residential areas,and lists two popular and advocated new residential areas,so as to ensure that the planning and design should be considered from the perspective of users to the greatest extent.In this paper,ecological development is used to indirectly promote the sound development of China’s urban ecology by optimizing the environment outside the residential area.The application of Feng Shui layout mode is studied,and the related contents about the main characteristics of modern ideal residential environment put forward in Feng Shui theory are summarized.Finally,it is concluded that the essence of combining Feng Shui theory with modern residential landscape design is to use Feng Shui theory to create an artificial high-quality ecological cycle in the outdoor space environment of residential areas,so that the residential areas and the surrounding ecological environment can be coordinated as a whole.Avoid pollution and damage to the surrounding natural environment to the maximum extent,and establish an ecological and harmonious living environment.The elements of feng shui system in residential areas mainly include seven factors,namely,terrain factor,wind factor,water factor,air factor,light factor,soil factor and plant factor.Combining with modern science,this paper systematically analyzes the reasonable scientific components of Feng Shui,and finally returns to the application of actual design cases.Based on the layout,roads,lighting,plants and other aspects of residential space,the design practice is considered.In the part of design practice,through the on-the-spot investigation around the construction site and the seven factors that constitute the geomantic omen system,the external environment of "Golden Eagle Block C in Lianhua Mountain" located in Changchun City,Jilin Province is finally designed,which combines theory with practice to enhance the operability of geomantic omen theory in modern application.
