Vigorously developing manufacturing plays an important role in consolidating the foundation of the real economy,building a modern industrial system and realizing a new type of industrialization.The 20 th National Congress of the CPC made it clear that we should accelerate the building of China into a strong manufacturing country,focus on improving total factor productivity,and promote high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.Machinery manufacturing industry is the core of manufacturing industry.The high quality development of machinery manufacturing industry can better escort our country’s major industries.After many years of development,Chinese machinery manufacturing industry has accumulated a relatively thick industrial technical development basis.However,compared with the developed countries,our machinery manufacturing industry development still has a certain gap.Its main performance is that our machinery manufacturing industry is big and not strong.Low production efficiency is an important obstacle to the development of China’s machinery manufacturing industry.Therefore,research on improving the production efficiency of machinery manufacturing industry has a very important practical significance for China to promote the construction of manufacturing power and build a solid industrial foundation of Chinese-style modernization.J Company,a wholly-owned subsidiary of a listed company in Xiamen that makes parts for precision equipment,is suffering from low production efficiency.In order to improve the production efficiency of workshop of J Company and expand the production capacity of the enterprise,this paper takes machining workshop of J Company as the research object to study its production efficiency.Based on the research on production efficiency at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the production status and existing problems of J Company’s machining workshop.On this basis,using fishbone diagram analysis method,from the five aspects of "personnel,equipment,materials,methods,environment" to clarify the influencing factors of workshop production efficiency.Then,DEMATEL analysis method was used to identify the key success factors restricting the improvement of workshop production efficiency,which were poor production layout,unreasonable tooling mold change and frequent equipment failure.Therefore,the paper firstly uses the theory of Systematic Layout Planning to optimize the layout of the facilities inside the workshop and improve the problem of handling waste.Secondly,in order to solve the problem of improper tooling mold change,this paper optimizes the workshop tooling mold change methods,steps and processes with the help of Single the Minute Exchange of Die method.Finally,the Total Productive Maintenance method is used to improve the workshop equipment failure loss.In order to evaluate the improvement effect of the optimization scheme,the paper uses Flexsim software for system modeling and simulation.The simulation results show that the total output of the workshop increases by 14.22% after the implementation of the optimization scheme,and the overall production capacity is significantly improved.In addition,in terms of equipment working state,the average processing rate of equipment in workshop increased by 10.48%,equipment idle rate and congested blocking rate also achieved ideal improvement.In terms of handling distance,the material handling efficiency of the optimized scheme increased by 21.12%.Through the optimization scheme,the production capacity of J Company’s machining workshop is increased,the comprehensive efficiency of equipment is improved,and the total distance of material handling is shortened,thus achieving the goal of effectively improving the production efficiency of the workshop.The research in this paper plays a certain guiding role in the subsequent efficiency improvement of J Company’s machining workshop,and provides referable experience for other similar manufacturing enterprises to reduce cost and increase efficiency and improve production efficiency.The research in this paper plays a certain guiding role in the subsequent efficiency improvement of J Company’s machining workshop,and also provides a reference for other similar manufacturing enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
