| The historical and cultural block is an important space for the inheritance of urban history and culture,carrying the evolution history of regional cultural traditions and architectural styles.It is not only a powerful material evidence of urban memory,but also a manifestation of urban spiritual value.Its development and changes over thousands of years reflect the changes and development of human civilization.At present,the protection and renewal of historical and cultural blocks has attracted more and more attention,but it also faces some practical difficulties,such as the improper planning and measures of block protection,the demolition of some real relics,and the construction of blocks with only antique appearance;most of the original residents of the block were moved out,and mixed commercial formats were stationed;at present,the protection of historical and cultural blocks is mostly static protection.The display of important historical elements of the blocks is also dominated by the listing of historical objects,ignoring the presentation of the story of the blocks and the atmosphere of the past.These practical difficulties show that the development of historical and cultural blocks needs to improve the way and level of protection and renewal.The story-based and scenario-based renewal design of historical and cultural blocks is conducive to better reflecting the regional characteristics of historical and cultural blocks,adapting to the needs of consumers,and highlighting the historical and cultural characteristics of the city.Based on this,this study introduces the perspective of ’ spatial narrative ’ to study the spatial narrative principles and design expressions in the renewal design of historical and cultural blocks.Taking the commercial center and shipping terminal of Fuzhou a hundred years ago as an example,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the narrative expression of its space design,and then puts forward the ideas and methods of renewal design.The core content of this paper is the second chapter to the fifth chapter.The second chapter proposes that ’ spatial narrative ’ is a method of situational space design that deconstructs and translates narrative texts and finally presents them in space.Its elements include narrative space carrier,narrative theme and narrative space expression.The logic is that the narrative space carrier presents the narrative theme through certain narrative space expression,so as to stimulate the visitors ’ experience of the historical and cultural connotation and regional characteristics of the place.From the theoretical perspective of " spatial narrative," the spatial renewal design of historical and cultural blocks is conducive to clarifying the question of " why to update,what to update,and how to update."The third chapter describes the renewal design principles of historical and cultural blocks from the aspects of integrating historical resources,determining narrative theme elements,reproducing historical scenes,respecting the natural environment,and paying attention to citizen experience.It emphasizes that the key point of narrative design of historical and cultural block space is the selection and determination of narrative theme.Only when the narrative theme is selected can the follow-up design steps be carried out,and after the selection of narrative theme,the appropriate spatial narrative clue arrangement should be selected according to different spatial situations or story development context,so as to make the historical atmosphere of the block well expressed.The fourth chapter deconstructs the historical and cultural blocks of Shangxiahang in Fuzhou from the perspective of spatial narrative construction,including the basic situation of its spatial narrative carrier,narrative background,narrative cognition and so on.In general,Shangxiahang has the following characteristics in spatial narrative expression :(1)rich historical material resources;(2)long historical story theme;(3)The higher story experience expectation of the crowd;(4)With its own business attributes.These characteristics provide more research materials for the narrative renewal design of historical and cultural blocks,but there are still many problems in the block,such as inadequate protection work and inadequate cultural publicity.Based on the analysis of the problems in the fourth chapter,the fifth chapter finally puts forward the concept and strategy of the spatial narrative renewal design of Shangxiahang historical and cultural blocks.The narrative of Shangxiahang is updated from three aspects : theme construction,theme space design and atmosphere improvement.It reflects the importance of historical and cultural potential,block attribute and crowd demand in the process of renewal design of historical blocks from the perspective of spatial narrative,and also provides reference for the future study of narrative renewal of historical and cultural blocks. |
