With the gradual strengthening of people’s awareness of environmental protection,the new energy vehicle industry has developed rapidly.At the same time,the electric vehicle industry is moving towards multi-functional and intelligent direction.Today,with the development of automobile electronic control technology being mature,electric power steering(EPS)suitable for ordinary vehicles cannot match the field electric vehicles.Therefore,further research on EPS system for field electric vehicles plays a crucial role in the development of the industry.Based on the actual project requirements of an electric vehicle company,this paper conducted a study on the performance improvement of electric power steering system of a golf course vehicle of the company.The main research work and the research results obtained in this paper are as follows:(1)For the power assisted control mode,PID controller and adaptive fuzzy PID controller are designed and adopted to improve the steering performance of the vehicle and the driver’s driving comfort.The PID controller is designed and used for the return control mode to solve the practical application problems of the turn-back is not in place or the turn-back is too large.In order to solve the problem that the vehicle body is unstable or even bumpy and inclined at high speed,the control strategy of damping control is developed.(2)According to the needs of the vehicle use place,when the vehicle is driving on the ramp road,the front axle load will become smaller,at this time,the power provided by the traditional power control will be higher than the actual vehicle needs.In order to solve this problem,the road slope estimation method of Kalman filter is used to compensate the power assist control mode of the power assist motor and adjust the power assist size of the power assist motor by accurately measuring the road slope.(3)Finally,according to the specific parameters of the target vehicle itself,the vehicle model and road model are set in Car Sim,and the co-simulation test is carried out between Simulink and Car Sim.The results show that the control effect of adaptive fuzzy PID is better under the power assist control mode.The design of the return control policy can solve the problem of the turn-back is not in place or the turn-back is too large.The damping control can solve the actual problem of vehicle instability and improve the driving comfort.The compensation control strategy has an obvious correction effect on the power provided by the power motor,and the body is more stable when steering,improving the safety and comfort of driving.
