| As an important part of China’s traditional cultural heritage, traditional villages and dwellings have distinct regional and ethnic characteristics, embodying unique traditional cultural characteristics and humanistic connotations.Due to its unique geographical environment and historical culture, the western Henan area has rich cultural types of rural settlements and rural dwellings with regional characteristics. Also, due to its special geographical climate environment and economic conditions, the village form, economic type, model settlement planning,The appearance of the building is very different. With the accelerated development of urbanization, traditional villages and dwellings in western Henan are facing desertion, and the original style and image are gradually disappearing. Therefore, the protection and revitalization of traditional villages and local culture in western Henan is imminent. To address this issue, the following research was carried out:Based on the study and research of urban morphology, rural imagery, morphological topology and other theories and space syntax, this paper takes traditional villages in western Henan as the research object, and combines their topography, history, culture and morphological characteristics to divide traditional villages into Shaanyuan Villages in plateaus, villages in plains, and villages in mountains and hills, and analyze the characteristics of each village.Through on-the-spot research and satellite maps, village forms in 2002,2012,and 2022 were selected.First,CAD and GIS software were used for vectorization, and then Depthmap software was used to analyze the overall form, global integrated core, local integrated core, and comprehensible.Analyze the change characteristics of degree and summarize its evolution characteristics.Secondly, select typical villages from the three types of villages(hilly villages-Dinggou Village, plain villages-Dawangmiao Village,Shananyuan Village-Miaoshang Village),from "point(village public space),line(street and lane texture),plane(Characteristics of traditional dwellings, texture of building groups)" three levels, analyze the morphological characteristics of various villages, and extract the image characteristics of villages from the aspects of environment, landscape and cultural imagery. Finally, according to the distribution characteristics of the global integrated core and local integrated core of these three villages,an overall optimization plan is proposed for the design of their street system and public space distribution, while in the local design such as the design of new residential buildings, landscape sketches and landmarks.Among them, through the design concept of integrating local culture and local elements(color, material texture and structural components of traditional buildings),the perception of traditional village imagery is enhanced. The research results are as follows:1.According to the distribution of global integrated cores and local integrated cores in traditional villages, and the classification of streets and building groups,it can be concluded that the global integrated cores are located on the main street of the village, which mainly connects each local integrated core in the village, and the local integrated cores are connected to local areas through alleys. Each courtyard within the range. In view of the above characteristics,it is proposed that in the traditional village plan design, the global public space is arranged around the global integrated core, and the local public space is arranged around the local integrated core.2.Through the analysis and comparison of the evolution characteristics of the three types of villages,it is concluded that dredging and closing the branches within the one-step topological distance of the integrated core and forming a loop can improve the permeability of the integrated core to the surrounding space and the accessibility of the surrounding space of the integrated core.3.By superimposing the loops within one-step topological distance around the global integrated core of the village and the loops within one-step topological distance around the local integrated core, the number of overlapped loops is related to the intelligibility of the village positively correlated.Combining the above analysis, the image perception of traditional villages in western Henan can be improved from the following three aspects: First, protect the pastoral scenery on the border of the village and prohibit random development.Second, retain the original texture of the streets and alleys of the village, dredge the side roads of the streets and alleys, and optimize the accessibility of the streets and alleys;third, condense traditional architecture, culture, symbols and other local elements, and integrate them into the design of new residential buildings, landscape sketches and landmarks. |
