Applied Research On The Braille Visual Transformation Of Packaging Design

Braille is very important for visually impaired people in terms of information transmission.Whether it is elevator buttons in public places,bus stops,indoor guidance,or product information(name,ingredients,shelf life)in commodity packaging,even able-bodied people need to read text to supplement information,which will have a stronger demand for visually impaired people.The purpose of this paper is to explore the application of Braille in the graphic visual transformation of commodity packaging design.The significance lies in the hope that through design,the participation of braille in packaging vision can be improved,so that Braille is no longer a superfluous and occupying element in packaging,so as to expand the design choice of applying braille in packaging,so as to make use of Braille to participate in visual design.To change the status of braille in product packaging design is just a "cost increasing white elephant".The research scope of this paper is completely based on the existing plain packaging of all kinds of graphic visual elements,to discuss the integration of Braille.For example,Braille fusion based on font in long text,Braille fusion based on creative title.Although Braille may be incorporated into some special practical functions in the design,it is only an extended study.And in the design process will not discuss the structure and material of the package.The innovation point of this paper is to provide a variety of new design methods for Braille packaging.Most of the current braille packaging on the market only stays in the category of "having Braille",without too much concept of "visual design" for Braille.Therefore,it can be said that Braille is a visual "redundant and cumbersome" element in the visual graphic design of these Braille packaging.So the purpose of this paper is to open a new idea and new form of Braille applied in packaging.
