Study On The Creation Of Spatial Characteristics In The Intersection Area Of Xi’an Jingwei River Based On Urban Memory

In the context of rapid urbanization,there has been a phenomenon of assimilation and superficial alienation in urban spatial construction,and the phenomenon of "amnesia" in cities has gradually intensified.Urban space is constantly facing a crisis of characteristics,which has triggered people’s collective desire for urban memory and cultural reminiscing of traditional beautiful living.At the same time,higher requirements have been put forward for urban spatial construction.The composition of the city is the coexistence of spatial entity and spiritual culture on a diachronic level.Urban space is an important carrier of memory,and memory is the soul of the city,as if the spirit of human thought is acting on the body.The characteristics of urban space are not only constrained by material conditions,but also formed on the unique urban memory of urban communities.It can be said that urban memory is the source of the formation of spatial characteristics.Located in the south of Gaoling District,Xi’an,the Jingwei River Intersection Area is the cross regional synergy link between Xi’an and Gaoling.It is the key point of the Jingwei River,the essence of the Weihe River landscape,rich in natural ecological resources,rich in historical sites along the coast,and bearing a heavy urban memory.It is also an important section for the Weihe River to display the image of the city in the era of "river in the city".With the implementation of the strategy of the Great Xi’an North Crossing,the area is being constantly developed and constructed While facing development opportunities,it also faces the decline of its original natural environmental characteristics,the decline of historical and cultural atmosphere,and increasingly complex urban construction issues.Therefore,this article attempts to use the creation of urban spatial characteristics to endow the natural,historical,cultural,and contemporary meanings of the Jingwei intersection area,and use urban memory to construct urban spatial characteristics with "locality",seeking a path to create spatial characteristics tailored to local conditions,and improving the operability and practicality of spatial characteristic planning in the area.Firstly,based on the theoretical foundation of spatial characteristics and urban memory,analyze the internal correlation between the two,and propose a hierarchical and analytical framework for creating spatial characteristics based on urban memory through the mutual construction relationship between urban memory and the internal formation mechanism of spatial characteristics.This provides an overall approach for creating spatial characteristics in the context of urban memory.Then,based on the influencing factors of spatial characteristics,the current situation of the natural ecology,historical culture,and built environment of the Jingwei intersection area is analyzed.Based on a non guided survey of urban memory,the cognitive status of spatial characteristics in the area is analyzed,comprehensively exploring the problems in the spatial characteristics of the Jingwei intersection area in the context of memory.Secondly,summarize the urban memory lineage of the Jingwei intersection area,including scene memory,cultural memory,and practical memory;And extract spatial characteristic elements based on the memory lineage,analyze the connotation,value,and evolution of spatial characteristic elements through the excavation of memory objects,and summarize the characteristics of spatial characteristic elements and the memory function of spatial characteristic elements in the context of urban memory.To comprehensively evaluate the memory carrier and element level of spatial characteristic elements using features as evaluation factors,and analyze the reasons for spatial characteristic problems through the analysis of evaluation results and the way spatial characteristic elements work,in order to determine the direction of spatial characteristic construction in the context of memory.Finally,in response to specific practical issues such as blurred urban memory,declining ecological environment,gradual marginalization of cultural traits,poor overall perception of urban spatial environment,and crisis of urban spatial characteristics,this paper proposes methods for creating spatial characteristics in the context of memory through the protection of memory carriers,translation of memory objects,and participation of memory subjects,focusing on the spatial strengthening of urban memory and the memory strengthening of urban space,Combining the control and guidance of the upper planning regulations with the practical needs of the ecological and cultural development of the Greater Xi’an River Crossing for the area,as well as the direction of spatial feature creation obtained from the evaluation results,the overall positioning of spatial feature creation in the area is condensed,and the spatial representation of the urban memory in the area is carried out using creation methods.Specific spatial feature creation practices are carried out,Consolidate the widespread nostalgia and urban memory of the public towards the Jingwei intersection area into an internal driving force for promoting the sustainable development of the area’s space,and achieve the bidirectional value goal of creating urban spatial characteristics and continuing urban memory,in order to leverage the comprehensive advantages of the Jingwei intersection area in undertaking the future development of the Greater Xi’an River.The research results aim to provide theoretical support and practical reference value for the high-quality development of the current Jingwei River intersection area and even the future cross river development of Xi’an.
