Research On The Appropriate Development Model And Planning Strategies For Small Tourist Towns In Nanniwan,Northern Shaanxi

At present,China’s economic development has entered a new normal and transformation phase,and the construction of new urbanisation has entered a critical period.As the hub of urban-rural connection,small towns will be an important contributor to the high-quality development of urbanisation in the new era.However,the construction of small tourism towns,which are blindly imitated and lack of reasonable judgement,has led to a lack of driving force for town development due to homogenisation and lack of tourism attractiveness,which is not conducive to sustainable development of towns.Therefore,an objective assessment and empirical analysis of the development of tourismoriented small towns is of great significance to their sustainable and healthy development.This paper selects the town of Nanniwan in northern Shaanxi Province as the research object.By comprehensively sorting out the current development characteristics of Nanniwan small town,analysing the current development problems of the town,constructing a performance evaluation index system and evaluation model for the development of Nanniwan small tourist town from multi-dimensional aspects,and conducting empirical research on Nanniwan small tourist town,the paper proposes a suitable development model and corresponding planning enhancement strategies for Nanniwan small tourist town.Firstly,based on the development background and realistic development demands of the characteristic small towns,the purpose and significance of the study are explained,and the research object,research content,research method and research framework are determined.It also defines the concepts of characteristic small towns and tourism small towns,discusses the mutual relationship between tourism and towns,and reviews the theoretical basis and relevant academic research on tourism characteristic small towns at home and abroad.Secondly,through the analysis of the current situation of Nanniwan town and field questionnaire research,the real problems of small town construction and tourism development are analysed.Again,according to the national norms and academic researches on the evaluation of small tourism towns,a total of 31 indicators are selected from the levels of resource development,town construction,comprehensive benefits and institutional management to build a performance evaluation index system for the development of Nanniwan small tourism town,and the performance evaluation model for small tourism towns is constructed and comprehensively evaluated by using hierarchical analysis and fuzzy synthesis method.Finally,based on the real-life problems of the small tourism towns and the results of the comprehensive evaluation,the influencing factors and driving mechanisms of the development of the towns are analysed,and the appropriate development model for the small tourism towns in Nanniwan is proposed,and corresponding planning and guarantee strategies are proposed in terms of industrial development,spatial pattern,infrastructural support and institutional mechanism,providing theoretical and practical reference for the development of similar small towns.This paper obtains the following conclusions through research:(1)Nanniwan town has a high visibility,richer humanities and natural landscape,and a better foundation of tourism resources in the town.However,the town construction and tourism development still have the problems of unreasonable industrial structure of the town and insufficient economic development momentum;lagging infrastructure construction and insufficient linkage of town attractions;shortage of funds for town construction and investment and financing channels to be broadened;single structure of tourism products and lack of cultural connotation of products;lack of night tourism activities and insufficient driving force;weak awareness of brand establishment and weak influence of tourism market.(2)Nanniwan town tourism resources development and construction is better,the government attaches more importance to the institutional management level,the town tourism development has achieved certain economic benefits,but Nanniwan town in the regional level town tourism competitive advantage is not strong,tourism sustainable development momentum is not enough,the overall tourism development performance is average.(3)The main driving force for the development of Nanniwan Town is industrial development,spatial construction and environmental creation.Based on the symbiotic development model of industry,space and environment,the small tourism town can be optimised and improved in terms of tourism products,industrial guidance,spatial pattern,transport organisation,infrastructure and institutional mechanisms.
