Research On Traditional Performance Places In Wuling Mountain Area

The Wuling Mountain area has a long history and is famous for its ethnic culture.There are a large number of ethnic minorities gathered here,and there are abundant types of opera activities,which have produced many traditional performance places with their own characteristics.The traditional performance place is a vital material carrier of drama culture,and a crucial place for offering sacrifices,singing operas and performing operas in ancient times,which reflects the cultural connotations of a region’s etiquette,art,folk customs and others.Influenced by many factors,the traditional performance places in Wuling mountain area have produced rich architectural types such as temples,guild halls,ancestral halls,homes,and hand waving halls,which have distinct personality characteristics in terms of cultural elements,architectural space form and decoration.In-depth research on it will help to learn its exquisite traditional construction skills,reveal the spiritual core of opera culture,and carry forward the regional culture and national culture of Wuling mountainous area.In this paper,the traditional performance places in Wuling mountain area are selected as the research object,and the existing examples,graphic materials and related groups are systematically investigated and studied through interdisciplinary research,literature research,field investigation and comparative research.The full text is divided into four parts: Firstly,"seeking the source".This paper traces the historical origin and development process of traditional performance places in Wuling Mountain area,classifies and summarizes different types of buildings,and analyzes their cultural factors and influencing mechanisms.Secondly,"researching".After studying of all kinds of historical classics,local chronicles,research works and other graphic materials in detail,a wide range of field visits and investigations were made to the traditional performance places in Wuling Mountain area.Thirdly,"studying the skills".Combining with the existing data and various information obtained on the spot,this paper studies its architectural form including architectural layout,plane form,spatial scale,structural form,and studies its decorative art from the decorative details such as column foundation,ceiling,plaque and couplets.According to all the studies mentioned above,the aim of the research is to reveal the architectural skill value and artistic value of traditional performance places.Fourthly,"seeking development".This paper comprehensively analyzes the current situation of traditional performance places,such as "the influence of natural and human factors","the contradiction between old things and the new era" and "the deficiency of self-utilization and opening".On the basis of the principle of authenticity and holistic protection,it puts forward the protection ways of comprehensive management,strengthening publicity and joint participation.It also puts forward the development strategy of combining with tourism,modern functions and new technologies.It is expected that on the basis of reasonable protection,the new functions and development of traditional performance places will be sought,so that they can continue to play their architectural and cultural values today.
