With the fierce competition in the port business, some ports are slow to improve their services and earn revenue,so most of them adopt low-price strategies to seize the market, which increases the burden on enterprises and makes it difficult to maintain their own operations. At the same time, some ports serve the cross-hearted,there are problems such as high overlapping shorelines and similar port function positioning, and it is urgent to improve their own competitiveness, and should not only consider their own economic benefits in operation, but also increase attention to port logistics service issues and expand new logistics service competition strategies. This article is based on existing port competition research, using a structural equation model to measure the port selection factors of cargo owners, analyze the port logistics construction issues that cargo owners are concerned about, and establish a two-stage dynamic game model for price service. It analyzes the service and pricing measures that can be taken, and provides certain suggestions for the maximum acquisition of cargo sources and long-term development of cross hinterland ports. Finally, practical problems are introduced for example analysis, analyzing the more important port service content for shippers, encouraging ports to increase investment in logistics infrastructure construction and improve service stability. At the same time, the process of information construction and shippers’ participation in port construction cannot be ignored.Exploring the optimal pricing strategy in the competition of cross hinterland port operations while understanding the preferences of cargo owners;Considering the existence of conversion costs, the pricing issues of new and old cargo owners were discussed, and suggestions for port operation and construction were proposed.By combining the satisfaction weights of various port logistics and service indicators in the structural equation model and the Hotelling game model, this study explores the port selection methods based on the general service preferences of cargo owners and the possible switching behaviors, which will serve as a direction for future logistics service efforts of port enterprises and provide pricing references. In this study,it was found that service and price have different impacts on profits in port game processes.Under competitive conditions, improving service can help improve the profits of both ports. At the same time,a two-stage game model study has shown that due to the existence of conversion costs, the first stage of port competition focuses on improving logistics services and low-priced strategies to strive for cargo sources. In the second stage, appropriate price increases can be made to ensure normal profits for the port. The strategy of differential pricing between new and old cargo owners can be adopted to moderately engage in price competition, but the focus should still be on enhancing the logistics services preferred by cargo owners. This study provides a simple approach for ports to develop competitive service and pricing strategies. In the competition between Dalian Port and Yingkou Port, emphasis should be placed on improving logistics service construction, while formulating reasonable dynamic pricing plans based on the port selection preferences of cargo owners. On the basis of the disadvantages of land distance, competitive advantages should be enhanced.
