| The iron and steel industry is an important basic industry for China's economic development and construction.It is also the material basis for developing national economy and national defense.Dalian Port Ore Wharf is one of the earliest port logistics enterprises in Bohai area and north east area which developed Iron ore handling and contributed a lot to the local economy.As China's old industry base,the north east area has many steel companies such as Angang,Bengang,Tonggang.The Bohai area also has many steel companies such as Shougang,Tanggang,Zongheng and Jingye.The development of iron and steel industry relies on the continuous supply of raw material and iron ore.Since the cost of local iron ore is higher in China,most of the good raw material and iron ore need to be imported from overseas.By 2030,the degree of reliance on the imported iron ore will be over 85%,and since the main transportation is by water,it will increase competition among the ports.This study makes an effective competitive strategy for the iron ore business in Dalian port through grey model prediction and SWOT analysis based on the characteristics of port logistics and competitive strategy theory.First,the current situation of the development of Dalian port ore terminal analyzed,and the basic situation is also presented.Secondly,the environment and related factors of iron ore transportation industry are analyzed,and the main competitors of Dalian port ore terminal are analyzed by comparison.Through the scientific method of strategy formulation,the competitive strategy is selected and analyzed.Finally,the competitive strategy and specific implementation suggestions with safeguard measures are proposed for Dalian port ore terminal,by concerning its own case and the comparison of competition strategy choices,which points out the direction of the further development of Dalian port ore terminal.This paper mainly studies the competition strategy of Dalian port ore terminal. |
