| The purpose of the experiment was to investigate the effects of different forms of corn forage resources(corn stover,puffed corn stover,ensiled corn stover and whole-crop corn silage)total mixed diet(TMR)on beef cattle growth performance,apparent digestibility of nutrients,serum biochemical indicators,Rumen microbial diversity and its impact on economic benefits.Simmental crossbred bulls with similar age and weight(350±23 kg)were selected and randomly divided into 4 groups with 7 heads in each group.They were fed with corn stover(JG group),puffed corn stover(PH group),ensiled corn stover(HZ group)and whole-crop corn silage(QZ group)TMR.The pre-trial period is 10 days,and the trial period is 56 days.The results showed that: the average daily gain(ADG)of each treatment group was higher than that of the JG group,and the ADG of the QZ group was the highest;Compared with the JG group,the apparent digestibility of DM,CP,NDF and ADF in the QZ group were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the JG group,the contents of creatinine(CREA)and blood urea nitrogen(BUN)in each treatment group were significantly decreased(P<0.05);compared with the JG group,there was no significant difference in other serum biochemical indexes in each treatment group(P>0.05).Compared with the JG group and the other treatment groups,the QZ group had a higher daily gain per cow.Compared with the JG group,the bacterial OUT number in the QZ group was significantly decreased(P<0.05).According to the α index analysis,the QZ group decreased the rumen bacterial abundance and species diversity;compared with the JG group,the fungal OUT number of each treatment group was not There were significant differences(P>0.05),the rumen fungal abundance in the PH group decreased,the species diversity in the QZ group increased,and the relative abundances of Ascomycota and Neoflagellate on the fungal level increased,and the Firmicutes on the bacterial level: The ratio of Bacteroidetes increased.In conclusion,feeding silage whole maize TMR can increase the relative abundance of some cellulose-degrading fungi,optimize the ratio of Firmicutes: Bacteroidetes,and improve the feed intake,apparent digestibility and average nutrient digestibility of beef cattle.Daily weight gain,reduce material-to-weight ratio,maintain healthy blood metabolism,and improve economic benefits. |
