Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of different improved nutritional value techniques for whole corn silage on the production performance and blood biochemical indexes of beef cattle were studied. In this study,60 he-ox × Angus F1 steers with 220±12 kg(10-12 months old fattening cattle)and 68 he-ox with 450±28 kg(18-20 months old fattening cattle)were selected and divided into 4groups according to the random block method, with 15 and 17 cows in each group, respectively. The first group was fed a basic diet with whole corn silage as the main rouge. The second group was fed the whole corn silage with microbial silage(referred to as bacterial silage). The third group was supplemented with ruminal lysine on the basis of the second group.Group 4 added rumen-pass methionine to group 3.The daily dosages of RPLys and RPMet for growing fattening cattle were 8.95 g/d and 2.98 g/d,respectively,and the daily dosages of RPLys and RPMet for fattening cattle were 16.59 g/d and 5.53 g/d.The results showed that: 1)daily weight gain(ADG)of fattening cattle in group 3 and group 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.05),dry matter feed intake(DMI)in group 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.01),and that in group 2,group 3 and group 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.05).The material weight ratio of group 1 was significantly higher than that of group 3 and 4(P<0.05).The daily weight gain and dry matter feed intake of fattened cattle in group 4 were significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.05).The material weight ratio of group 1 was significantly higher than that of group 2,3 and 4(P<0.05).2)the apparent digestibility of crude protein in the second group of fattening cattle was significantly higher than that in the first group(P<0.01),and that in the third and fourth groups was significantly higher than that in the first group(P<0.05).The apparent digestibility of crude fat(EE)and nitrogen free extract(NFE)in groups 2,3 and 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.05)and(P<0.01),respectively.The apparent digestibility of crude protein in group 2,3 and 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.05).The apparent digestibility of acid washed fiber in group 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.05).The apparent digestibility of crude fat in the third group was significantly higher than that in the first and fourth groups(P<0.05).3)There was no significant difference in enzyme activity between the fattening cattle groups(P>0.05).The activity of aspartame transaminase in fattened cattle group 1 was significantly higher than that in group 3(P<0.01),and significantly higher than that in group 2,3 and 4(P<0.05).4)the concentration of urea nitrogen and creatinine in group 3 and group 4 of fattening cattle was significantly lower than that in group 2(P<0.05),and the concentration of cysteine in group 4 was significantly lower than that in group 1 and group 2(P<0.05).The urea nitrogen in group 4 was significantly higher than that in group 1(P<0.01),and significantly higher than that in group 2(P<0.05).The blood glucose of group 1 was significantly higher than that of group 3(P<0.01),and that of group 2 was significantly higher than that of group 3(P<0.05).5)the concentration of growth hormone in the third and fourth groups of fattening cattle was significantly higher than that in the first group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in hormone index between the fattening cattle groups(P>0.05).6)the economic benefit of fattening cattle was the highest in group 3.The economic benefit of fattening cattle in group 2,3 and 4 was higher than that in group 1,group 4 was the highest and group 2 was the second highest. To sum up,all the above treatments can improve the nutritional value of the diet based on whole plant silage, and can improve the average daily weight gain and feed conversion rate of the test cattle. For the growing fattening cattle, the effect of adding bacterial silage and adding rumen-passing lysine at the same time was more obvious. For fattened cattle, the best results were obtained by adding bacterial silage and simultaneously adding RPLys and RPMet.
