As an important link in the teaching process,teaching evaluation is one of the means to test the teaching effect.Scientific and reasonable evaluation methods can help stimulate students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning,highlight students’ dominant position,and conform to the development concept of people-oriented quality education.The content of the "Soil and Fertilizer" course in secondary vocational schools is relatively abstract,the knowledge points are complex and trivial,and the interest is not high,which leads to a decrease in the willingness of students to actively participate in the classroom.Based on this,researchers try to introduce formative evaluation into teaching evaluation,and comprehensively apply a variety of evaluation methods to explore the impact of changes in evaluation methods on students’ classroom participation,learning enthusiasm,learning habits,and learning attitudes.Under the guidance of multiple intelligence theory,humanism theory and other theoretical foundations,combined with research methods such as questionnaire survey and interview method,this study carried out research on the students of Lanzhou Y School’s 2019 landscaping class as the research object.Firstly,the current situation of teaching evaluation is investigated,and the shortcomings of the current evaluation methods are summarized,as a reference for the subsequent formulation of evaluation plans;secondly,based on the existing problems of teaching evaluation,the evaluation principles and evaluation strategies are determined,the evaluation plan is designed and the teaching practice is carried out.Since the course of "Soil and Fertilizer" has both theoretical and practical courses,this study selects two examples to present the specific implementation process of formative evaluation.The impact of the implementation on students’ classroom participation and learning effect,and put forward feasible suggestions and countermeasures for the evaluation of classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools.The practical results show that the change of evaluation method improves students’ classroom participation to a certain extent,stimulates students’ enthusiasm for learning,and optimizes students’ learning habits and attitudes.That is to say,the teaching evaluation mode,which is mainly based on formative evaluation and comprehensively applies various evaluation methods,is worthy of promotion.Combined with the research process and results,some suggestions are put forward for the application of formative assessment in teaching.In developing the evaluation plan: 1.Pay attention to the psychological characteristics of the vocational students;2.Analyze the learning characteristics of the vocational students.In the implementation of teaching evaluation:1.Strengthen the study of relevant theories of teaching evaluation;2.Select appropriate evaluation methods according to different teaching forms;3.Make full use of information technology to improve the timeliness of evaluation results;4.Provide timely feedback to promote student learning and teacher teaching through teaching evaluation.In conclusion,the development of this research can provide practical reference for secondary vocational teachers in teaching evaluation,and also enrich the related research on formative evaluation in secondary vocational classroom teaching.
