| In the current situation, the high quality and healthy development is the inevitable requirement of animal husbandry.Functional compound plant extracts contain many bioactive substances, and play an important role in bacteriostasis,anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,immune regulation and intestinal health care.It is considered as an alternative antibiotic to promote the high-quality and healthy development of animal husbandry. This experiment was conducted to study the effects of seabuckthorn and Lycium barbarum compound extract additives and their different levels on growth performance, slaughter performance and meat quality of white feathered broilers.A single factor randomized experimental design was adopted.Seven treatments(CK,CS,I,II,III,IV,V)were set up,with 5 replicates for each treatment.350 1-day-old Hubbard broilers were randomly divided into each replicate of each treatment, with 10 chickens in each replicate.CK group was fed with basic diet,CS group was fed with 500 mg/kg boluohuisan, and groups I to V were fed with 200,225,250,275 and 300 mg/kg sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum compound extract on the basis of basic diet. The whole feeding cycle is 6 weeks, divided into two stages,3 weeks in each stage. The test results are as follows:(1)Growth performance:compared with the group CK and groupⅤ,the average body weight of 42 d and ADG in the whole stage of group II were significantly increased(P<0.05).(2)Serum biochemical indexes:compared with the CK and CS groups, the combination of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum extracts had no adverse effects on serum ALT,AST,GLU,CREA,TP,ALB,UREA,TC and HDL at 21d(P>0.05),the TG content in test group II was significantly higher than that in the CK and CS groups(P<0.05),and the LDL in test group II was significantly higher than that in the CS group(P<0.05),but not significantly different from the CK group(P>0.05);compared with the CK and CS groups, the combination of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum extracts had no adverse effects on all biochemical indexes of serum at 42d(P>0.05).(3)Antioxidant activity:compared with CK group,SOD and CAT activity in Broiler Serum in group II increased significantly(P<0.05),GSH PX and T-AOC activity in group II were not significantly different from CK group(P>0.05);The MDA content of the five dose groups was significantly higher than CK group, but also significantly lower than that in CS group(P<0.05).On the 42th day, there was no significant difference between the serum T-AOC,SOD,GSH PX activity in the test group and CK group(P>0.05).The cat activity in the serum of each treatment group was significantly lower than that of CK group and significantly higher than that in CS group(P<0.05).The MDA content of serum in each treatment group was significantly higher than that of CK group(P<0.05).(4)Immunological performance:compared with the CK and CS groups, the combined extract of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum had no significant effect on the spleen index, thymus index, and bursa index in the first and second stages(P>0.05).Compared with the CK group, the combined extract of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum significantly increased the Ig A,Ig M,Ig G,and TNF-αcontents(P<0.05)and significantly decreased the IL-2 and IL-4 contents(P<0.05)in the serum of broiler chickens in the first and second stages.(5)Slaughter performance:compared with the CK and CS groups, the composite extract of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum had no adverse effects on the slaughter rate,semi-clean bore rate, full clean bore rate, pectoral muscle rate, leg muscle rate, and abdominal fat rate of broilers in the first and second stages(P>0.05).(6)Meat quality:compared with the CK and CS groups, the combination of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum extracts had no significant effect on the physicochemical indexes of meat quality such as p H45min,p H24h,shear force, pressing loss and drip loss of pectoral muscle(P>0.05).Compared with the CK group, the combination of sea buckthorn and Lycium barbarum extracts significantly increased the p H24hvalue of the leg muscle(P<0.05)and significantly reduced the drip loss rate of the leg muscle(P<0.05);the leg muscle yellowness of the testⅢgroup was significantly lower than that of the CK group(P<0.05).(7)Economic benefits:compared with CK group, the economic benefits of each broiler in groupsⅡ,ⅢandⅣwere increased by 30.77%,75.64%and 32.05%respectively.The results showed that Seabuckthorn and Lycium barbarum compound extract could improve the growth performance and immune ability of broilers, increase economic benefits, and the appropriate level of 225 mg/kg in the diet of white feathered broilers. |
