Study On Climate Suitable Planting Areas Of Summer Peanut In Henan Province

This study aims to realize the climate suitable planting zoning of summer peanut in Henan Province by combining the risk assessment model and APSIM-peanut model.The research materials include meteorological data,growth period information,yield,area,disaster information and planting management data of summer peanut in Henan Province,the meteorological data was collected from 108 meteorological stations from 1981 to 2019.When we conducted the risk assessment of main disaster causing factors of drought and waterlogging,the whole growth of summer peanut was divided into three periods according to the water demand:the early（from sowing to branching stage）,the middle（from flowering to pod setting stage）and the last（from filling to mature stage）period.The Crop Water Deficit Index（CWDI）was adopted as the agricultural drought index,and the cumulative moisture index M_a as the agricultural waterlogging index.After that,each drought or waterlogging process was monitored based on the daily index value,and the drought or waterlogging process was used as the minimum unit of risk calculation to evaluate the risk of drought and waterlogging of summer peanut in Henan Province.When simulating the potential yield of summer peanut,the two production conditions of potential and rain fed were considered.The radiation-temperature potential yield and climate potential yield of summer peanut were simulated by using the APSIM-peanut model which was after parameters adjustment and verification.The high-stable coefficient of potential yield was used as the zoning index of summer peanut planting potential in order to clarify the planting potential zoning of summer peanut in Henan Province under the two production conditions.Finally,combined with the risk zoning in the risk assessment and the planting potential zoning,the planting suitability zoning of summer peanut under potential and rain fed conditions in Henan Province was revealed.The results show that:（1）The order of risk index in each period of drought was ranked as the middle>the early>the last period.The order of waterlogging was all the same as that of drought.The risk weight of drought were 0.28,0.37 and 0.35 during the early,the middle and the last period respectively,whereas,that of waterlogging were 0.58,0.27and 0.15 respectively.Combined with the risk index and the risk weight of each hazard inducing factor in each period,there were two higher risk areas for summer peanut planting.The high risk area was dominated by drought,and the middle risk area was dominated by waterlogging,where the former was with North Henan as the center,and the latter was with Xinyang as the center in southern Henan Province.（2）The radiation-temperature potential yield varies from 7269 to 21259 kg ha^-1,with an average yield of 8779.8 kg ha^-1.The high-yield areas are mainly distributed in the west,middle and south of Henan Province;The variation range of climate potential yield is 2043～11774 kg ha^-1,with an average value of 3929.8 kg ha^-1.The high-yield areas are mainly distributed in eastern and southern Henan Province.The radiation-temperature potential yield is higher than climate.（3）The high-stable coefficient of radiation-temperature potential yield of summer peanut ranges from 0.61 to 1.70,with an average value of 0.74.Regions with high coefficient values are mainly distributed in some areas of western,southern and eastern Henan;the high-stable coefficient of climate potential yield of summer peanut ranges from 0.01 to 1.72,with an average value of 0.38.Regions with high coefficient values are mainly distributed in eastern Henan,Zhumadian,Xinyang and the eastern part of Nanyang city in southern Henan.The high-stable coefficient of radiation-temperature potential yield of summer peanut is higher than that of climate,and the planting potential of summer peanut in the west of Henan and the west of Nanyang City is higher under potential conditions than that in rain fed conditions.（4）The climate suitable planting regions of peanut are mainly distributed in some areas of eastern Henan,Nanyang and Zhumadian city and the southern part of central Henan Province under potential conditions;Under rain fed conditions,the suitable regions are mainly distributed in some areas of eastern Henan,the eastern part of Nanyang city and the southern part of central Henan Province.The climate suitability for planting in the west of Nanyang and some areas of western Henan is higher under potential conditions than that in rain fed conditions.The results can be used to guide the actual planting of summer peanut in Henan Province,make summer peanut planting pursue advantages and avoid disadvantages,and reduce farmers’planting risk.
