Fur animal breeding is an industry with high added value.It has distinct regional characteristics,low cost and short cycle,and has high economic value and income.As a major fur animal breeding Province,Shandong Province is mainly concentrated in Jiaodong Peninsula,Eastern Shandong and southern Shandong.Weihai is rich in fishery resources,which can provide sufficient feed raw materials,and the climatic conditions are suitable,which is conducive to the reproduction and growth of mink and other fur animals.Due to the large variety,quantity and scale of artificially bred fur animals in Weihai,Weihai has become an important part of the local agricultural economy.It has effectively promoted the economic development of the whole region.Firstly,based on the research background and significance of domestic fur animal husbandry,combined with the relevant theories and literatures such as the research status of domestic and foreign fur animal husbandry,the main research contents and research methods of this study are determined.Secondly,the fur animal breeding industry in Weihai City is selected as the research object,and the SWOT analysis method is used to comprehensively analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the fur animal breeding industry in Weihai City.At the same time,the case study method is used to conduct quantitative analysis from five aspects:business philosophy,scientific and technological research and development,trading system,product types and prevention and control awareness,The main problems of fur animal breeding industry in Weihai include the following five aspects: first,the management idea is backward and the industry is not concentrated enough;Second,it ignores scientific and technological research and development,and the level of mechanization is low;Third,the system is not perfect and the product quality is backward;Fourth,the product category is single and lacks comprehensive strength;Fifth,the awareness of prevention and control is weak and the prevention efforts are insufficient.Thirdly,combined with the current situation of fur animal husbandry in Weihai City,the reasons for the main problems of fur animal husbandry in Weihai City are analyzed and summarized from the external and internal parts.The external reasons mainly include environment,industry,technology and competition,while the internal reasons mainly include five aspects: backward product management concept,ignoring the degree of scientific and technological research and development,relatively single trading system,single type of sales products,and too weak awareness of protection.Finally,countermeasures and suggestions for the development of fur animal breeding industry in Weihai are formulated from five aspects: business philosophy,scientific research and development,trading system,product types and prevention and control awareness,such as updating business philosophy and increasing industrial scale;Pay attention to scientific and technological research and development to improve the mechanical level;Establish a trading system to ensure product quality;Develop by-products and enhance comprehensive strength;Strengthen the awareness of prevention and control and strengthen prevention and control.This study verifies the relationship between the development and business philosophy,scientific research and development,trading system,product types and prevention and control awareness of Weihai fur animal breeding industry by using the data of field investigation and questionnaire,effectively promotes the healthy development of Weihai fur animal industry,vigorously improves and forms sustainable competitive advantage,and provides scientific basis for accelerating the transformation of resource advantage to industrial and economic advantage,which is of great strategic significance.At the same time,it has important practical significance for increasing the employment of farmers in Weihai City,increasing the income of local residents and driving the regional economic development.It also points out the direction for the actual breeding of fur animals in China.
