With the gradual application of water and fertilizer integration technology to efficient water-saving and fertilizer-saving irrigation projects,domestic irrigation technology has developed rapidly.However,the fertilizer application equipment commonly used in water and fertilizer integration machines generally has problems such as low mechanical efficiency,poor water and fertilizer synchronization and low integration,making it difficult to complete accurate irrigation operations.Therefore,it is important to design an efficient and accurate fertilizer application equipment for water and fertilizer integration machine according to the actual irrigation demand to promote the development of agricultural modernization.In this paper,a new type of fertilizer application equipment was designed and performance tests on mechanical efficiency,working flow rate variation and inlet and outlet fertilizer stability under the influence of multiple factors were conducted.The main studies and results are as follows:Fertilizer application equipment design and selection.Combining the functional requirements and model categories of fertilizer application equipment for water and fertilizer integration machines,three new models of fertilizer application equipment with linear connection,equal-section working chamber and double-action flow channel as the core design were constructed by using Solidworks software.By comparing various aspects such as working flow rate,fertilizer application stability,processing and maintenance cost,the equal-section double-acting piston pump model was analyzed as the optimal model for this design.Simulation analysis of new type of piston pump.Analyze the characteristics of the internal flow field of the equal-section double-acting piston pump during operation,and establish a numerical model of the inlet and outlet fertilizer flow channels and the working chamber of the piston pump.The k-epsilon turbulence model with Enhanced Wall Treatment wall function was chosen to increase the accuracy of the model calculation results.According to the simulation results after verification and analysis,it is concluded that the model of equal-section double-acting piston pump meets the design requirements of continuous inlet and outlet fertilizer and uniform fertilizer application,and the details are optimized for prototype production.New type piston pump prototype test.The first generation prototype design plunger stroke proportional test,irrigation main line pressure test,and the traditional agricultural single-cylinder plunger pump for efficiency comparison and comprehensive comparative analysis.The results show that the new plunger pump saves 33%-38% of fertilizer application time,increases fertilizer application efficiency by 32%-45%,and saves more than 60% of the space occupied by the pump box.The second-generation prototype is assembled with a high-power motor,set up with vibration-damping springs,and designed for multi-factor tests on motor speed,plunger stroke ratio and irrigation main line pressure,etc.,to compare mechanical efficiency and working flow with traditional agricultural three-cylinder plunger pumps.The results show that when the ratio of motor speed to plunger stroke of the new plunger pump is 100%,the mechanical efficiency is increased by about 49.5% compared with the traditional agricultural three-cylinder plunger pump,and the volume loss is reduced by 3% at most.New type of piston pump field trial.Design different time and different pipe section output water and fertilizer EC value change test with mechanical efficiency test and compare with DN25 venturi type fertilizer applicator.The results showed a 54% reduction in the limit fluctuation of the EC value of the inlet and outlet fertilizer solutions of the equal-section double-acting piston pump.The mechanical efficiency of the equal-section double-acting plunger pump is about 9.55% minimum and 22.06% maximum,and the mechanical efficiency of the DN25 venturi fertilizer applicator is about 7.07% minimum and 14.1% maximum.Within the test pressure range,the mechanical efficiency of the new type plunger pump was improved by 11%-56%.In this paper,a new equal-section double-acting plunger pump is designed to address the problems of commonly used fertilizer application equipment.The feasibility of the new plunger pump model is analyzed by using simulation software.Through the prototype test and field test,it is verified that the new plunger pump has high mechanical efficiency,accurate fertilizer application and high integration,which provides a reference for the structural design and optimization of fertilizer application equipment.
