Skills rejuvenate the country,vocational education rejuvenate the country.To build a skilled society,secondary vocational schools,as the first step to strengthen the training of skilled technical talents,undertake the important mission of training talents with knowledge,skills,vocational comprehensive ability and other compound skills.At present,the overall level of secondary vocational students majoring in crop production technology exists the phenomenon of weak operational ability and low skill level.The course of Crop Production Technology is the core course in crop production technology major in secondary vocational schools,which has obvious technology and operation.Project teaching method is a teaching method with students as the main body and tasks as the main line,which enables students to master knowledge and skills in "learning by doing".Based on this,the author applied project teaching method to the course of Crop Production Technology,designed the project teaching process,and carried out the implementation so as to show the effectiveness of improving students’ hands-on ability and improving students’ vocational comprehensive ability.Based on the existing research results at home and abroad,guided by the theories of constructivism,humanism and pragmatism,this study took the students majoring in crop production technology at Grade 20 of a secondary vocational school in Jinan as research objects.Firstly,a questionnaire survey and interview were adopted so as to investigate and analyze the teaching status of the course Crop Production Technology.Based on the above survey results,taking "Wheat Production Technology" as an example,three projects including "determination of wheat germination rate","field investigation on wheat tillering stage" and "determination of wheat 1000-grain weight" were set up in order to carry out project-based teaching.The program of project-based teaching as follows: introduced the project according to the situation,identifing the project---task driven,divising the labor group---collection of materials,making the plan---division of labor cooperation and responsibilities,implementing the plan---production making,display,evaluation and summary the project.After the teaching practice,through the questionnaire survey,classroom observation and interview and other ways to evaluate the application effect,it is found that the project teaching method makes students "busy" in class and correct students’ attitude in class.Through the analysis of single sample T test results,the students are significantly higher than the general level in professional skills,theoretical knowledge and comprehensive abilities.In addition,97.06% of the students approve project teaching method,90.32% of the students like to cooperate in group learning and solve problems together in learning,93.55% of the students actively participate in class,effectively improve teaching and promote learning.90.32% of the students believe that the implementation of project teaching method in the course of Crop Production Technology is more helpful to the future internship and employment.To sum up,the process applied in this research is implementable to a certain extent,improves the classroom effect,enhances the skill operation ability and the comprehensive ability of students.However,there are also some problems such as excessive use time and unbalanced grouping of students,which are expected to be used and optimized by more researchers,and it is also expected that this teaching method can be continued in the study of subsequent professional courses.
