Biogas slurry contains many nutrients that promote crop growth, and its fertilization is a good way to add value and dissipate biogas slurry.Selenium is an essential element for the human body and beneficial to plants, which can be applied as fertilizer in various ways, such as basal application and spray application, but it is not clear whether there is any difference in the effect of different application methods on crop yield and quality, especially on the effect of selenium fortification. In this paper, the effects of spray and irrigation application of selenium-rich methane fertilizer on wheat yield, nutrient absorption and accumulation, flour nutritional quality, processing quality and biofortification were investigated with wheat as the test crop, and the main results were obtained as follows:1.Both spray and irrigation application of selenium-rich biogas slurry fertilizer could significantly increase wheat yield with slightly different increases.Compared with the control, the wheat yield of spray and irrigation treatments significantly increased by78.7% and 75.1%,respectively;compared with the customary fertilizer application, the wheat yield of spray and irrigation treatments increased by 20.3% and 17.8%,respectively;compared with the customary fertilizer application, the spray treatment significantly increased the number of wheat spikes and thousand grain weight, while the irrigation treatment significantly increased the number of wheat spikes and grain number.2.Spray and irrigation application of selenium-rich biogas slurry fertilizer promoted the uptake and utilization of nutrient elements by the crop.Compared with the customary fertilizer application, the seed nitrogen accumulation increased by 4.5% and 15.7%,and the seed potassium accumulation increased by 15.3% and 7.6% in the spray and irrigation treatments, respectively;the seed zinc and molybdenum contents increased by 57.8% and141.0%,and the seed zinc and molybdenum accumulation increased by 183.6% and 341.8%in the spray treatments, the zinc and molybdenum content in grains increased by 58.1%and 158.3% respectively under irrigation treatment, and the accumulation of zinc and molybdenum in grains increased by 73.1% and 460%.3.Spraying and irrigating selenium rich biogas slurry fertilizer improved the nutritional and processing quality of wheat.Compared with conventional fertilization, spraying selenium rich biogas slurry fertilizer increased the glutenin content of wheat flour by 6.7%,while irrigation treatment increased the glutenin content by 9.3%;The effect of different fertilization treatments on the amylose content of wheat was not significant.Spraying selenium rich biogas slurry fertilizer increased the amylose content by 7.7% compared to conventional fertilization, while irrigation treatment decreased it by18.8%;The total amino acid content of wheat flour irrigated with selenium rich biogas slurry fertilizer increased by 26.2% compared to conventional fertilization, and the amino acid score significantly increased by 20.6%,while spraying treatment had no significant effect;Compared with conventional treatment, irrigation treatment increased wheat bulk density,R5 resistance, and gluten content by 4.8%,35.2%,and 15.2%,respectively;Spraying selenium rich biogas slurry fertilizer increased wheat gluten content and stability time by 15.4% and 23.1% compared to conventional fertilization treatment.4.Both spray and irrigation application of selenium-rich biogas slurry fertilizer significantly increased wheat grain selenium content, but the increase and the percentage of organic selenium were different. The selenium content of wheat seeds reached 0.29mg/kg and 0.45 mg/kg in the irrigation and spray application treatments, respectively,in which the percentage of organic selenium was 78.1% and 65.8% in the irrigation and spray application, respectively, both of which reached the regulations of selenium content and organic selenium percentage in the industry standard "selenium-rich agricultural products"(GH/T 1135-2017),which effectively improved the commercial value of wheat.
