Clinical Study Of Yangyin Xifeng Capsule In Treating Diabetes With Vascular Dementia Due To Yin Deficiency And Blood Stasis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yangyin Xifeng capsule in the treatment of diabetic patients with vascular dementia,explore the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease,and analyze the mechanism of Yangyin Xifeng capsule,so as to explore new ideas for clinical treatment of the disease.Methods:In this study,70 patients with diabetes mellitus of yin deficiency and blood stasis combined with vascular dementia who met the inclusion criteria and were hospitalized in the Department of Encephalopathy of Weifang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2020 to September 2021 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral alishen combined with routine western medicine for diabetes and stroke;On the basis of the control group,the treatment group took Yangyin Xifeng capsule,a self-made preparation of the hospital,for 3 months.Before and after treatment,the two groups were evaluated by TCM Syndrome Score Scale,MMSE,ADL and Hb A1 c respectively,the total effective rate was calculated and the clinical efficacy was analyzed,the safety indexes were observed and the adverse reactions during taking the medicine were recorded.All data in this study were statistically analyzed and processed by SPSS25.0 software.Results:During this study,2 cases in the treatment group and 3 cases in the control group fell off,and 65 patients were finally completed.In terms of the total effective rate,the curative effect of TCM syndromes in the treatment group and the control group were 93.94% and 68.75% respectively,and the curative effect of cognitive function recovery was 87.88% and 75%respectively,and the total effective rate in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome score,MMSE score,ADL score and Hb A1 c of the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement degree of TCM syndrome score,MMSE score and Hb A1 c of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in ADL score between the two groups(P>0.05).Single integral of TCM syndromes,all TCM syndromes in the treatment group were improved(P<0.05),while those in the control group were improved(P<0.05)in the "main syndrome",dull expression,dry throat and mouth,and dull complexion,and the improvement degree of symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).MMSE scores showed that the orientation,memory,recall and language ability of both groups were improved(P<0.05),and the improvement degree of orientation and memory in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in safety indexes between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Yangxiifeng capsule has obvious effect in treating diabetes mellitus complicated with vascular dementia due to yin deficiency and blood stasis.It is superior to western medicine alone in improving patients’ TCM syndromes,promoting the recovery of patients’ cognitive function and stabilizing glycated hemoglobin.It has no obvious difference in improving daily living ability with western medicine alone,and has no obvious toxic and side effects.It is worthy of further study and promotion.
