The Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Early Parkinson’s Disease (Spleen Phlegm Type) By Shenzhu Decoction Based On The Theory Of Rise And Fall Of Spleen And Stomach

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Shenzhu Decoction on patients with early Parkinson’s disease(spleen deficiency and phlegm turbid type)based on the theory of spleen and stomach ascending and descending,and to further explore the role of spleen and stomach ascending and descending in the pathogenesis of PD.Methods: A total of 62 patients with Parkinson’s disease who met the admission criteria from November 2021 to December 2022 were collected.According to the randomized method,patients were divided into control group(n = 31)and treatment group(n = 31)with SPSS26.0.The control group was treated with western medicine,and the treatment group was treated with Shenzhu Decoction on the basis of medicine.To observe and compare the related scales of the two groups: MDS Unified Parkinson’s Disease Comprehensive Rating Scale(MDS-UPDRS I & II & III),Patient Assessment of Constipation symptom(PAC-SYM),Parkinson’s disease quality of Life questionnaire-39(PDQ-39),Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms(TCM)Scale,and determine the level of interleukin-1β(IL-1β).The conditions were compared before treatment,4 weeks after treatment and 8 weeks after treatment.Then the clinical efficacy of Shenzhu Decoction was evaluated.Results:(1)Finally,a total of 60 patients met the criteria,including control group(n = 30)and treatment group(n = 30).There were no adverse reactions in both groups before and after treatment.(2)Improvement of mental routine and motor function: After 8 weeks of treatment,the scores and total scores of MDS-UPDRS Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P < 0.05).(3)Improvement in quality of life: The PDQ-39 score of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).(4)Improvement of constipation symptoms: The PAC-SYM score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).(5)Comparison of the level of IL-1β: After treatment,the level of IL-1β in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P < 0.05).(6)Improvement of TCM symptoms: The TCM score of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).The effective rate of the treatment group was 87.1%,which was significantly better than that of the control group(76.7%).Conclusion: Shenzhu Decoction has a good effect on improving the non-motor symptoms of patients with spleen deficiency and phlegm turbidity in the early stage of PD.Reducing inflammatory reaction is one of the ways to exert its curative effect,so as to further improve the quality of life of the patients.
