Status Quo And Demand Analysis Of Tcm Health Management Services For Elderly Residents In Community

Objective: The study is based on the perspective of TCM health prevention,combining the theory of "treating the disease" with contemporary health management methods,taking the elderly residents of Kang’an community in Harbin as the research object,analyzing the demand and current situation of TCM health management services by identifying the TCM physical constitution of the elderly residents in the community,fully understanding the TCM physical constitution types and characteristics of the respondents,as well as the demand and utilization of TCM health management services.The study will summarize the current problems in the development of TCM health management services in the community,analyze the influencing factors,provide reasonable suggestions for the community to carry out TCM health management services,improve the recognition and utilization of TCM health management services for the elderly in the community,and further improve the health management services for the elderly community.Methods: In this study,a simple random sampling method was used to select community residents aged 65 years and above from Kangan Community Health Service Center in Daoli District,Harbin City as the study population.The questionnaire survey was carried out through the TCM Body Composition Identification Scale and the Questionnaire on the Demand for TCM Health Management Services for Elderly Community Residents.The actual survey was 360 questionnaires,and through data screening and reliability testing,315 valid questionnaires were finally obtained,with an effective rate of 87.5%.Epidata software was used to enter the data and imported into SPSS24.0 software for statistical analysis.Descriptive analysis was used to understand the general demographic characteristics of residents,their physical condition and the level and demand utilization of TCM health management services,and chi-square test was used to analyze the influencing factors of TCM health health management services for residents of Kangan community in Harbin.Combining the current situation and theoretical knowledge,a theoretical doctrine and policy environment analysis was conducted for the development of TCM health management services in the community in China from three subjects: state,society and community,to provide theoretical suggestions and support for the creation of a health management service system with TCM characteristics.Results:(1)The distribution of TCM constitution types can be seen that the distribution of constitution types from the highest to the lowest are: pinghe,yang deficiency,qi deficiency,yin deficiency,phlegm-damp,damp-heat,blood stasis,qi yu and special endowment;(2)The surveyed elderly residents in Harbin Kangan community have an awareness of health and health management services of more than 80%,while their understanding of TCM;(3)The knowledge of health management services and health care services is widely available,mostly from the government,the Internet and health lectures,and they hope to receive professional health knowledge popularization from medical personnel;(4)More than 90% of them have different degrees of subjective needs for health management services and TCM health theory interventions.subjective needs,high satisfaction with health services,and the desire to obtain access to lower prices paid for paid health management services;(5)the surveyed respondents have a high rate of insurance coverage and are concentrated in basic medical insurance;residents have a strong willingness to seek medical treatment and health care,a heavy economic burden of disease,and annual medical expenses are concentrated in the range of 1000-2000 RMB,and a strong desire to obtain lower prices paid for paid health management services.Conclusion:(1)The basic health condition of elderly residents in the community is not optimistic,the physical condition of TCM changes greatly with the increase of age,and the proportion of calm and physical condition gradually decreases,while the proportion of other physical conditions more or less increases,and the health condition of residents needs to be improved;(2)the awareness of elderly residents in the community about health management services is relatively shallow and not deep,and the utilization rate of health resources is low;(3)the concept of treating the disease and TCM health care the awareness,need and satisfaction of the method are high,but the degree of application is low;(4)the residents’ health care and medical expenses are high,and the economic burden of diseases is heavy.TCM health management service is the mainstay of building a healthy China industry,in which TCM treatment of untreated diseases occupies an important position,and we should use the unique advantages of TCM to accelerate the pace of achieving health for all;(5)The elderly residents in communities with different characteristics have different influences on the cognition and demand of TCM health management services,which can protect residents’ health problems from many aspects.
