Objective:This article aims to investigate the relationship between serum platelet to lymphocyte ratio(PLR),red blood cell distribution width(RDW),retinol binding protein(RBP)levels, and carotid artery plaques in patients with type H hypertension. Methods: According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, this study selected 240 patients diagnosed with H-type hypertension at the People’s Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from December 2021 to August 2022,and recorded in detail the age, gender, height, weight,Body mass index(BMI),and history of hypertension of all participants. At the same time, laboratory examination indicators of all study subjects were collected, including platelet count, absolute lymphocyte count,RDW,RBP,fasting blood glucose(FBG),uric acid(UA),creatinine(Scr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC),Low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),etc.were examined by color Doppler ultrasound of the carotid artery.According to the carotid intimal medial thickness(c IMT),the subjects were divided into two groups: 110 cases in the normal group, including 46 males and 64 females; There are 130 plaque groups, including 50 males and 80 females.Compare two sets of serum indicators and analyze their relationship with carotid artery plaques in patients with H-type hypertension.Use SPSS 26.0 software for statistical analysis.Results:1.The age, course of hypertension and FBG in the plaque group were higher than those in the normal group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);There were no significant differences in gender,BMI,UA,Scr,BUN,TG,TC,LDL-C and HDL-C levels between the two groups(P>0.05).2.PLR and RDW in the plaque group were higher than those in the normal group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in RBP between the plaque group and the normal group(P>0.05).3.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age,PLR and RDW were independent risk factors for carotid plaque development in patients with H-type hypertension.4.ROC curve was drawn to evaluate the predictive value of age,PLR and RDW for carotid artery plaque in patients with H-type hypertension. The bottom product of ROC curve of age was 0.73,the optimal cut-off was 64.5 years old,the sensitivity was 56.15%,and the specificity was 76.36%.The area under ROC curve of PLR was 0.61,the best cut-off value was 160.84,the sensitivity was 56.92%,and the specificity was 64.55%.The area under ROC curve of RDW-CV was 0.79,the best cut-off value was 12.65%,the sensitivity was 80%,and the specificity was 62.73%.The area under ROC curve of RDW-SD was 0.82,the best cut-off value was 42.65 fl,the sensitivity was 84.62%,and the specificity was 64.55%.The area under ROC curve of age,PLR,RDW-CV,RDW-SD combined diagnosis of carotid plaque was 0.89,the sensitivity was 90.77%,and the specificity of 2 was 70.91%.Conclusion: Age,PLR,and RDW are closely correlated with carotid plaque in patients with type H hypertension, and are independent risk factors for carotid plaque in patients with type H hypertension.RBP is not correlated with carotid plaque in patients with type H hypertension.
