Clinical Effect Of Jiangu Tongyu Decoction In Treating Affected Limb Swelling And Pain After Tibia And Fibula Fracture Postoperative

Objective: To determine the changes of symptoms and signs before and after the treatment of limb limb swelling and pain which used Jiangu Tongyu decoction,and to provide a scientific theoretical basis for the clinical application in the treatment of limb swelling and pain after tibial and fibular fracture.Methods: Collect 60 patients with postoperative limb swelling and pain after tibia and fibula fracture hospitalized in the Department of orthopedics of Gansu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to January 2023,improve the basic personal information and safety examination and statistics.The patients were randomly divided into 2 groups: the control group(29 cases)and the treatment group(31cases).The control group received basic treatment and Mannitol and Etoricoxib Tablets.The treatment group added Jiangu Tongyu decoction on the basis of the control group,with a 2-week treatment course.Statistical comparison of the changes of TCM syndrome score,affected limb swelling,swelling duration,VAS score,lower limb FMA score and laboratory examination and the examination results during follow-up,and the safety evaluation of adverse events of the two treatment options to evaluate the efficacy and safety of affected limb swelling and pain in the treatment of tibia and fibula fracture.Result:1.This trial actually included 59 patients,the control group(29 cases)and the treatment group(30 cases).The general data including sex,age,affected limb location and preparation time were not significant(P > 0.05).2.Swelling of the affected limb,neither results were significant significant on the day of surgery(P >0.05).The swelling of the affected limb increased significantly on the first postoperative day,and decreased on the third and seventh postoperative days(P <0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P <0.05).Time to swelling resolution,the value was lower(P <0.05).3.VAS score,the VAS score in both groups significantly increased on the first postoperative day,and decreased compared with the previous day on the third and seventh postoperative days(P <0.05),the treatment group was better than the control group(P <0.05).4.FMA score of lower limbs,the value of lower limbs FMA score increased on the first postoperative day,increased on the third and seventh postoperative days(P <0.05),the treatment group increased more than the control group(P <0.05).5.TCM syndrome integral,the value of TCM syndrome in both groups increased on the first postoperative day,and decreased on the third and seventh postoperative days(P <0.05),the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P <0.05).6.Detection index: C-reactive protein,D-Dimer,Erythrocyte sedimentation rate,no difference in the first postoperative day(P > 0.05).Post-treatment,the values of the two groups were lower,the degree was higher in the treatment group(P <0.05).7.The follow-up results,showed that there was no significant difference in fracture healing,lower limb venous thrombosis and TCM syndrome score at 1 month(P > 0.05),the lower limb FMA score had better efficacy than the control group(P <0.05).8.Safety evaluation,During the study,no adverse events such as bone compartment syndrome or allergy occurred in the two groups,and there were no obvious abnormalities found in all safety indicators after treatment.Conclusion:The treatment of the affected limb swelling and pain which used Jiangu Tongyu decoction is effective.Combined with functional exercise and western medicine application,it can effectively relieve the affected limb swelling and pain symptoms,and effectively restore its function.No serious events occurred in the trial,which has high safety,and is worthy of further discussion and application in clinical practice.
