In the new century,especially in the past ten years,new immigrant writers in North America have generally ended their lives of studying and starting businesses in foreign countries,and some writers have changed from amateur writing to full-time writers.Zhang Ling,who was praised by Chen Ruilin as the leading writer of new immigrant literature in North America,is one of the representatives.Starting from the novel To the North,his creation presents a distinct turn in the narrative of traumatic experience,either insisting on the habitual writing based on the historical memory of the motherland,or writing about the irreparable trauma formed by the current society.Moreover,Zhang Ling’s trauma writing is integrated into the grand picture of trauma writing in the new Immigrant literature of North America in the new century.Therefore,this kind of consensual creation has become a cultural phenomenon worthy of investigation.This paper takes Zhang Ling’s trauma writing as the research point of view,and uses the works of Vitality Trilogy,ZhenTong,Lao Yan and LiuNian WuYu as samples to investigate.The purpose is to gain insight into Zhang Ling’s unique personal life experience and conscious trauma narrative under cross-cultural experience and analyze the value and inevitable problems of Zhang Ling’s trauma writing in combination with the current academic research on trauma narrative.The following is the overall structure of this paper:The introduction is divided into three sections.First,it paints the overall picture of the trauma writing of the new immigrant literature in North America in the new century and clarify the subordination and independence of Zhang Ling’s trauma writing.Secondly,it summarizes the research situation of trauma writing of new Immigrant writers in North America in the new century especially the literature review of zhang Ling’s research,and indicate the research innovation of this paper.Finally,it clarifies the essential concept of the word trauma,and expounds the purpose and significance of this research on the basis of the above explanation.The first to third chapters mainly include the spiritual origin,narrative purpose and aesthetic appeal of Zhang Ling’s trauma writing.The first chapter,The Literary Construction of Trauma Experience,mainly traces the origin of Zhang Ling’s traumatic experience narrative and explore how Zhang Ling’s trauma writing was rooted in the historical and cultural soil of the 1980s and continued to develop further.At the same time,starting from Zhang Ling’s cross-cultural experience,focusing on the common sense to investigate Zhang Ling’s acceptance of the beneficial religious cultural influences.The second chapter,The Narrative Purpose of Trauma Writing,analyzes how Zhang Ling,based on the ethical principle of repairing the world and using Western ethics of care and other ideas,investigates the trauma writing institutes of overseas writers from the aspects of empathy,introspection,and seeking.Spiritual stance and healing program held.The third chapter,Aesthetic Representation of Trauma Writing,discusses the unique narrative strategies and means of overseas writers to represent trauma under the premise of sharing discourse resources with contemporary writers.The conclusion mainly summarizes Zhang Ling’s breakthrough and significance in trauma writing and affirms the sense of mission and responsibility of Zhang Ling and other North American new immigrant writers who tirelessly care about the history and reality of the motherland.At the same time,it also questioned the limitations of Zhang Ling’s trauma writing and prospects Zhang Ling’s trauma writing in the future...
