| In our time,rapid technological progress makes it possible to increase the ways of transmitting socially significant information in the media.Along with traditional periodicals,radio and television,the Internet has become an important part of the mass media system in recent years.Against the background of the dynamic development of the media,when presenting news,not only the content of the texts is significantly enriched,but also various linguistic forms are used.For individuals,sports can strengthen the body;for a country,sports is an important indicator to measure the comprehensive national strength and national health level.As an important part of news communication,sports news can not only transmit sports information,but also enhance the audience’s interest in related fields and publicize the national sports strategy.We find that Chinese and foreign scholars have a strong interest in the topic of contemporary Russian sports news,but the research on text language is not comprehensive,and the research perspective is often limited to a single media type and a single language level.There are few achievements on the multi-angle and comprehensive exploration of the rhetorical features of Russian sports news,The discussion on the intertextual links between sports news is rare.Hence the topic of this paper.Based on linguistic theories,we carry out a systematic analysis of the collected linguistic materials,using methods such as the classification description of the collected materials and systematization according to their lexical,grammatical,genre and intertextual characteristics.Statistical calculation also plays a special role in our work.The source of factual material is sports news texts taken from the professional sports newspaper “Sport-Express” and the sports TV channel “Match TV”,from the universal newspapers “Moskovsky Komsomolets”,“Izvestia” and “Komsomolskaya Pravda”,from the publicly available TV channels“ First Channel” and “RT in Russian”,as well as from the professional sports sites “Sport-Express” and “Sport24.ru”.This work consists of an introduction,four chapters,a conclusion and a list of cited works.The theoretical significance of our research boils down to the fact that this work systematically studies the linguistic and stylistic means of sports news,which helps to clarify the main features of the functioning of the language in the Russian media,as well as enrich the teaching of functional stylistics and the theory of text stylistics.The practical value of the research is determined by the fact that the methods and results of our analysis can be applied to the analysis of news texts on other topics.Moreover,our work can serve as a real model for the analysis of modern sports news in other languages.In terms of lexical style,the author often uses synonyms,antonyms,ambiguities,terms and loan words in sports news.The main purpose of using synonyms and antonyms is to avoid repetition,enhance contrast and enhance the expressiveness of sports news with a rich and varied vocabulary.For the same purpose,the author also frequently uses ambiguous words in sports news,which are implemented in metaphorical and metonymic ways in order to provide expressiveness of sports news.And borrowed words and terms as an important means of exploring the boundaries of the Russian vocabulary,on the one hand,can enhance the information function of sports news;on the other hand,they can ensure the openness and professionalism of sports news.In terms of morphology,the most common parts of speech in sports news are verbs and numbers.We find that verb tenses are often closely related to the sports news genre.For example,the present tense is more common in interviews.In addition,authors often use different forms of verbs in sports news to attract the attention of the recipient of the information.For example,the authors use the active voice of verbs to reduce the difficulty of reading the news,and the use of the imperative mood in sports news headlines is often found,because in this way the authors significantly shorten the distance from audience.At the same time,the numerals in sports news accurately reflect the outcome of the match,goals scored,player numbers,number of strokes,rule violations,pattern in the match,etc,which make news more credible and objective and ensure its scientific accuracy and professionalism.From a syntactic point of view,sports news writers often use syntactic constructs such as question-answer constructs,plug-in constructs,parcels and simple sentences,which allow a comprehensive sense of the author’s emotional assessment.From the point of view of functional styles,first of all,it should be noted that a number of standard elements and expressive elements are observed in sports news,which indicates the dominant position of the newspaper-journalistic style.At that time,in sports news we will find such elements of the colloquial and everyday style as colloquial vocabulary,colloquial syntactic constructions,such elements of the scientific style as the use of terms and abstract words,and such elements of the artistic style as metaphor,paraphrase and other tropes.As a result,the comprehensive use of functional styles helps to achieve the systemic function of sports news.From the point of view of intertextual links,the concept of intertextual links is understood to be contained in a specific text,expressed with certain verbal techniques and references to another specific text.Such a connection significantly enhances the interaction between different texts,so that different news on the same topic cease to be isolated from each other,which leads to an effective performance of the informational function of sports news.We focus on the so-called textual continuum and parataxis.Within the textual continuum,relying on the timeliness and accessibility of the Internet,users receive sports news with significantly reduced complexity and increased quality requirements.And the features of text parataxis are clearly generalized only in traditional newspaper news.We believe that the use of linguistic and stylistic means in Russian sports news has systemic and complex characteristics as each language level is related to each other,effectively enhancing the dissemination and influence of news information.The novelty of this study is showcased in its systematic classification of sports news in modern Russian media,its comprehensive study of the lexico-stylistic and grammatical-stylistic features of sports news in modern Russian media based on examples taken from various sources and its in-depth analysis of the intertextual features of sports news in modern Russian media. |
