In recent decades,China’s status in the international arena has become increasingly prominent,and Chinese language has begun to be valued by other countries.Therefore,the number of international students in China has also grown.When studying and living in China,international students always face a variety of adaptation problems.The academic research on cross-cultural adaptation of international students is mainly aimed at international students in developed countries.In recent years,there has been a trend towards developing countries.At present,there are few studies on the cross-cultural adaptation of Mongolian students in China.This article re-identifies the cross-cultural adaptation on the basis of previous studies.In the future,the cross-cultural adaptation of Mongolian students in China can be divided into three dimensions,namely learning The dimensions of adaptation,social and cultural adaptation,and psychological adaptation will analyze the cross-cultural adaptation of Mongolian students in China from the above three dimensions.This paper takes Huaqiao University and Inner Mongolia Normal University as examples,using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate the cross-cultural adaptability of Mongolian students in China,and analyze the data through software SPSS21.0.The survey results show that the overall level of adaptation of Mongolian students in China is at the upper-middle level.Among them,the social and cultural adaptation score is the highest(3.3386),followed by learning adaptation(3.2466),and the lowest score is psychological adaptation(2.6727).The level of adaptation is significantly lower than the level of learning adaptation and social and cultural adaptation.There are differences in the adaptation level of Mongolian students coming to China in the following seven oral learning variables.The seven variables are gender,age,major,grade,length of stay in China,Chinese level,and student type.Among them,the level of Chinese and the length of stay in China affect Mongolia An important factor in the adaptability of international students in China.Based on the analysis of quantitative research and the results of in-depth interviews,the author gives the following suggestions to improve the adaptability of Mongolian students coming to China: 1.Do a good job of training Mongolian students before coming to China.The training content includes the following six aspects of China’s basic situation and Customs,the basic situation of the target school,the basic situation and customs of the area where the school is studying,the learning content during the study abroad,language training,and the handling of cross-cultural communication and conflicts.2.Do a good job in supporting the cross-cultural adaptation after coming to China,including providing teaching support and psychological support for Mongolian students coming to China.
