Study On The Shape And Decoration Of Porcelain Pillow In SHOUZHOU Kiln Of Tang Dynasty

As one of the four ancient civilizations,the Indus Valley Civilization,China has a rich and illustrious history,and its ancestors have also left many traditional national arts.Porcelain is one of the earliest and oldest great inventions in human history.The emergence and development of porcelain is also accompanied by the development and changes of Chinese national culture,which has witnessed the different needs of human beings in different eras for material civilization and spiritual civilization.As an art that has lasted for thousands of years,ceramics has become a system of its own and has become one of the ancient Chinese culture’s representations.SHOUZHOU kiln porcelain was first fired in the northern and Southern Dynasties,and the kiln fire has continued to this day.In the Tang Dynasty,it ranked among the six famous kilns,occupied a place in the situation of southern green and northern white,and reached the peak period.As a folk kiln,SHOUZHOU kiln produces a wide variety of utensils.Porcelain pillows are the most diverse and richly decorated utensils in SHOUZHOU kiln products.They integrate modeling,decoration and functionality.They are a kind of comprehensive utensils reflecting technology and art.Over recent years,people are becoming more aware of traditional culture,SHOUZHOU kiln,as one of the few famous kilns in ANHUI Province,has also returned to people’s sight.This paper attempts to make a series of analysis and Research on the shape and decoration of porcelain pillows with unearthed artifacts and Museum porcelain pillows as the main materials.The first chapter introduces the research significance and research status of the subject,and explains the research focus and research methods;The second chapter first summarizes the history of SHOUZHOU kiln,then divides the porcelain pillow shape into two categories,lists its representative artifacts,analyzes its functionality and culture,and focuses on the artistic characteristics of the porcelain pillow shape;The third chapter describes the craft beauty of different glaze colors and analyzes the cultural connotation behind the glaze colors,then explains the rich and colorful expression language and symbolic images of patterns,and focuses on the artistic aesthetics embodied in different patterns;The fourth chapter selects the other two famous kilns in the Tang Dynasty,analyzes the shape,decoration and technology of their porcelain pillows,finds out their similarities and differences with SHOUZHOU kiln,and summarizes the characteristics of SHOUZHOU kiln porcelain pillows;The fifth chapter analyzes the advantages and development value of SHOUZHOU kiln development,and puts forward his own views on the feasible ways of inheritance and development.The shape and decoration of porcelain pillows reflect the social culture and artistic aesthetics of the times to a certain extent.Through their analysis and research,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of SHOUZHOU kiln porcelain pillows.
