| Sports are gradually developed in the process of human development.It is an organized social activity to promote people’s health,promote all-round development and enrich social and cultural life and spiritual civilization.Many countries attach great importance to sports.Based on the translation variation theory,this paper selects the contents of Ceremony of China Aided Project on Sports Technical Assistance to Tonga and the 1stAnnual Meeting of Strength and Condition for SI practice.The interpreter uses the materials to analyze and summarize different speech themes and explains the guiding role of translation variation theory in interpreting practice.Translation variation theory is a new translation theory proposed by Professor Huang Zhonglian,which takes variable translation as the research object,studies the laws and characteristics of the translation process,reflects the translation nature of ideological system and scientific principles and seeks general guidelines.It mainly includes three aspects:the interpretation subjects are interpreters and listeners;the interpretation object is original work and translation;the interpretation intermediary is flexibility and adaption.Moreover,there are four elements that are worth studying:audience,interpreter,source text and variable translation.The specific needs of the target audience are the starting point of interpretation activities,which determines the interpreter’s variable strategies,uses translation methods to achieve the real meaning and interprets the source text for the listeners.Under the guidance of translation variation theory,this paper analyzes the specific problems in the process of interpretation by adopting four variable translation methods of addition,omission,edition,narration to discuss the relationship among the source text,speaker,interpreter,target text,and summarizes interpretation skills and experience.Finally,it is hoped that this paper can provide a reference for the future interpreting tasks. |
