| The Confucius Institute,as a window and bridge for Chinese and foreign language and cultural exchanges,is an important platform for the world to understand China.Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms have played an active role in people from all over the world in learning Chinese and understanding Chinese culture,and at the same time they have made important contributions to promoting exchanges between China and other civilizations around the world.The Goethe-Institut,like the Confucius Institute,is a non-profit educational public welfare organization.It consists of three major parts: the Goethe-Institut headquarters,domestic branches and foreign branches.The headquarters of the Goethe-Institut is responsible for making plans and layouts for the early development of each branch,providing some financial and technical support;each branch has sufficient curriculum,teacher training and freedom to carry out cultural teaching activities.Confucius Institutes play a positive role in promoting the spread of Chinese language,deepening the understanding of Chinese language and culture among people around the world,and promoting educational cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and other countries.They adhere to the cooperation principle of "mutual respect,friendly consultation,equality and mutual benefit" in cultural exchanges between countries.During its seventy years of growth,the Goethe Institute has formed a learning ecosystem of mutual cooperation between the Goethe Institute,the Goethe Language Center,the Cultural Association,the library and the reading room,which has become a channel for many people to have their first contact with Germany.At the beginning of its establishment,Confucius Institutes learned from the successful experience of other language and culture promotion agencies,which have great room for growth in institutional operation,teaching management and cultural promotion.Since its establishment,Confucius Institutes have been actively exploring their own development paths in terms of institutional management,teacher training,external exchanges and classroom teaching.It has also become the top priority for Confucius Institutes to realize sound operation by selecting appropriate teaching modes based on specific courses and teaching activities offered by Confucius Institutes in various places.Joyce and Weil introduced the concept of "teaching model" for the first time in the book teaching Model,which is defined as "teaching model is a model and plan for the formation of courses and assignments,selection of textbooks,and presentation of teachers’ activities".The choice of teaching mode requires a combination of specific teaching case teaching goal,operation program,teaching evaluation and other factors,the choice of teaching mode and curriculum and culture of the college teaching activities are closely related,so the paper firstly Berlin’s free university Confucius institute and Beijing Goethe institute in terms of curriculum and cultural activities were compared in this paper.Secondly,combined with the relevant theories of teaching model,the practical application of specific teaching model in classroom teaching and cultural activities of Confucius Institute of Freie Universit Berlin and Goethe Institute Beijing is analyzed.Finally,this paper compares and analyzes the different performances of the application of specific teaching modes in classroom teaching and cultural activities between The Confucius Institute at Freie Universitat Berlin and Goethe Institute in Beijing,and puts forward feasible teaching suggestions for the future teaching of Confucius Institutes based on the advantages of the Goethe Institute in Beijing in the practical application of teaching modes. |
