The C-E Translation Report Of Across The Field Scatters The Qiang’s Spirit Under The Guidance Of Liu Miqing’s Translation Aesthetics

This paper is a report on the English translation practice of the essay collection Across the Field Scatters the Qiang’s Spirit.Published in 2014,Across the Field Scatters the Qiang’s Spirit by Ren Dongsheng describes the modern and historical existence of the Qiang people in prose language,which is a contribution to China’s regional prose.The Qiang ethnic group retains the richest traditional culture of the ancient Qiang ethnic group.There is no doubt that Ren Dongsheng’s regional prose has distinct characteristics of Qiang people and reveals the living state of them.Ren Dongsheng’s writing style is simple and natural,and the article contains many vivid and interesting language expressions.It can be said that people who have not been exposed to the Qiang community and are not familiar with the life of the Qiang people will have a strong interest in reading his proses.Guided by the theory of Liu Miqing’s translation aesthetics,the author translates the first chapter of Across the Field Scatters the Qiang’s Spirit and studies the aesthetic representation from the aspects of formal system and non-formal system.In the aspect of formal system,the author analyzes the aesthetic representation of the original text from phonetic,lexical and syntactic level.In the aspect of non-formal system,the author focuses on the aesthetic representation of the emotion and image.At the same time,the author reviews the difficulties and solutions encountered in the translation practice and provides reference and suggestions for the English translation of ethnic minority literature in the future.The translation of ethnic minority literary works helps to spread the beauty of Chinese ethnic minority culture and let more English readers understand Chinese culture through the English translation of such texts.
