In recent years,increased importance has been attached to the development and application of Fintech due to the deepening of the new round of industrial revolution and technological revolution.Quite a few internet corporates have been exploiting the possibilities of marching into the financial kingdom and some of them have achieved great success,injecting new vitality into the financial industry,while financial enterprises are increasingly investing in new technologies to achieve new business growth.This report is based on the simulated consecutive interpreting of the release conference of 2022 Top 10 Fintech Trends Outlook:The Integration of Digital Technology and Real Economy chaired by Tencent,a leading domestic technology giant.At the conference,the speakers from Tencent and KPMG summarize the domestic fintech development environment,detail the practical application of current fintech,and look forward to the prospects of fintech development.Under the guidance of Gile’s Effort Model,the interpreter carries out interpreting preparation,including familiarizing herself with the topic,and building a glossary,to relieve a certain cognitive load.In the process of simulated interpretation,four-charactered idioms and quotations,figurative expressions,heavily-loaded pre-modifiers,and long sentences all increase the cognitive load of the interpreter during the interpreting process.In order to solve these difficulties,the interpreter employs different solutions,namely paraphrasing,literal interpretation,readjustment of sentence,splitting,and reconstruction,so that the interpretation practice can proceed smoothly.After interpreting,the interpreter also gives revised versions of the interpretations of these sentences that have bothered her.By doing so,she can have a better understanding of her strengths and weaknesses,and gets ready for her next interpreting practice.The interpreter hopes that the difficulties and solutions summarized in this report,as well as her reflections,can provide a reference for other interpretation learners.
