Sifting Through And Research On The Zhangbei County Annals Compiled In The 24^th Year Of The Republic Of China

Local chronicles are documents recorded about specific regions,generally including geographical environment,historical evolution,construction and transportation,population customs and other aspects.They are indispensable documents for studying the history,culture,economy and social development of specific regions.Zhangbei County is located in the northwest of Zhangjiakou City,Hebei Province,at the junction of Inner Mongolia Plateau.The residents are mainly Han ethnic group,and Mongolian,Hui,Manchu and other ethnic groups live together.Because of its strategic location,it plays a decisive role in military affairs.Zhangbei County has a long history of at least 4000 years,but the history of establishing a county is relatively short.It was not established until the second year of the Republic of China.Therefore,there are few annals about the county.The historical information about Zhangbei County was first scattered in the "Koubei santing Chronicle",but this chronicle is not a special book recording Zhangbei events.Some documents claim that the latest county annals of Zhangbei in the 18 th year of the Republic of China is the first special annals of Zhangbei,but the research shows that the county annals of Zhangbei in the 18 th year of the Republic of China does not exist,and the county annals of Zhangbei in the 24 th year of the Republic of China(hereinafter referred to as the county annals of Zhangbei)is actually the first county annals of Zhangbei County.With a total of nearly one million words,the chronicle is detailed and rigorous.It is an important document for the study of Zhangbei area.This study takes Zhangbei County annals as the object.First of all,it introduces the basic situation of Zhangbei County and the history of Zhangbei County annals,explains the influence and status of Zhangbei County annals in the history of Zhangbei annals,and affirms the reasons for choosing this annals as the research object.Secondly,it introduces the annals of Zhangbei County in detail,which was completed with the support of song Zheyuan,chairman of Chahar provincial government,and the efforts of all colleagues in Zhangbei County annals Museum.Thirdly,it expounds the style and content of Zhangbei County annals.The annals adopts the style structure of "three treasures".Notes are an important part of the annals,which play a role of supplementary explanation and textual research.The notes of the annals are quite unique.Another major feature of this chronicle is the chart setting.The whole chronicle has 82 pictures and 30 tables.The annals cited a large number of classical documents,making the contents of the annals detailed and rich in historical sources.In order to understand this chronicle more clearly,the style and content of this chronicle are compared with Qianlong’s three Hall chronicles of the north of the mouth.Finally,it analyzes the value of Zhangbei County annals,and points out the problems found in the collation of Zhangbei County annals.As the earliest monograph of Zhangbei County,this chronicle is indelible and plays an irreplaceable role in the study of Zhangbei County’s geographical topography,customs and artistic literature.This study uses the methods of our school,academic school and comparative analysis to check the text,and points out the phenomena of corrupt words,missing words,inverted words and so on.At present,the academic research on Zhangbei County annals is still in the stage of data citation.This study makes up for the lack of the overall research,and can provide reference and accurate literature basis for subsequent research in the academic community.According to the preface of the annals and a large number of auxiliary materials,it denied the existence of the latest annals of Zhangbei County in the 18 th year of the Republic of China,and corrected the wrong understanding of the academic community.
