| With China’s important influence on the international stage,as well as China’s economic development and the strengthening of friendly relations with other countries,a significant number of foreigners show great interest in the Chinese language,Chinese culture and habits.Ukraine is no exception.The relationship between China and Ukraine is a strategic partnership,which embodies the long tradition of friendly cooperation between the two countries.Ukrainians come to China not only to learn Chinese,but also to deeply understand the country and its culture.Therefore,textbooks,especially cultural textbooks,are used to achieve this goal.This kind of teaching material is an important tool for learning culture,especially for those students who do not have the opportunity to come to China.A well written textbook of Chinese culture will help students understand Chinese culture effectively.Based on the comparative study of four sets of cultural textbooks(Chinese culture,Erya Chinese: the foundation of Chinese culture(Volume II),cultural panorama(Volume I and II)and talking about culture in Chinese(Volume I and II),this paper analyzes the contents and characteristics of the textbooks,and evaluates them.In addition,the author also conducted a survey of Ukrainian students,in order to find out their interests in different cultural aspects as well as to obtain valuable information about textbook compilation.As there are no local Chinese Culture Textbooks in Ukraine at present,through the comparison of four sets of textbooks and the results of investigation,the author puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of local Chinese Culture Textbooks in Ukraine,and puts forward some suggestions for Ukrainian students to learn Chinese culture.In the first chapter of this paper,it mainly introduces the purpose and significance of this research,the research content and research meaning.The second chapter introduces the investigation and structural analysis of Ukrainian Chinese learners’ cultural learning.The purpose of the survey is to study the situation of Ukrainian Chinese learners learning Chinese culture.It is hoped that the results of this survey can provide reference for the improvement of Chinese culture projects in Chinese Culture Textbooks and improve the quality of Chinese culture textbooks.The third chapter mainly compares the writing styles of the four cultural textbooks: the overall and each lesson,and the front and back covers.In the fourth chapter,the author mainly studies the contents of the four sets of cultural teaching materials:cultural items(including knowledge and communication cultural items),texts,vocabulary and exercises;and evaluates the compilation of the cultural contents of the four sets of cultural teaching materials.In the fifth chapter,the author puts forward some suggestions on the content of foreign culture textbooks.In the sixth chapter,the author puts forward some suggestions on Chinese culture teaching and learning for Ukrainian teachers and students.The seventh chapter summarizes the results of this paper,analyzes the shortcomings of this paper and forecasts the future research ideas. |
