| Location words are a kind of words that express space and position.They play a very important role in modern Chinese and are indispensable in daily communication.With the development of cognitive linguistics,people have more and more in-depth understanding of allonyms.This paper first combs the researches on Locatives by scholars at home and abroad in recent years.From the perspective of theoretical research and practical research,it summarizes the achievements of previous studies,absorbs the favorable results for second language acquisition,and carries out the teaching design of Chinese Locatives as a foreign language according to the theory of cognitive linguistics.Based on the theory of cognitive linguistics,this paper analyzes the semantics of "East,West,South,north,up,down,left,right,front and back" from the perspective of cognition,and comes to the conclusion that the basic meaning of these locative words will change according to the reference point and different observers.The extended meaning of locative words is also related to the basic meaning,which is a new meaning developed through metaphor.On the basis of theoretical research,we investigate the locative words in "Boya Chinese elementary starting part I(Second Edition)" and "Chinese course(Third Edition)".We find that the teaching materials systematically arrange the teaching of locative words.However,due to the limitation of textbook compilation theory,there are some defects in the teaching of basic meaning and extended meaning of locative words.This paper also searches the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University about "East,West,South,north,up,down,left,right,front and back" to analyze the errors of foreign students’ locative words,and finds that the reasons for the errors are related to the teaching method.Through a series of theoretical research,we put forward the teaching order of location words in TCFL,and designed the teaching of location words according to the theory of cognitive linguistics.In the verification stage,we conducted in-depth interviews and experimental investigation on TCFL teachers and foreign students of Yuntaishan international civil and military school in Xiuwu County,and found that the teaching design based on cognitive linguistics theory is very helpful to improve students’ mastery of location words,especially the improvement of basic meaning,special usage and extended meaning of location words. |
