| As one of the most representative calligraphers of the mid-Ming Dynasty and one of the leaders of the Wu School of Calligraphy,Wang Chong’s died in depression after a lifetime of eight unsold attempts,but his wonderful calligraphic works and calligraphic ideas have influenced many followers.This paper aims to break the stereotype of a single style of calligraphy,to enrich the artistic characteristics of Wang Chong’s calligraphy,and to establish a basic concept of the artistic characteristics of Wang Chong’s cursive calligraphy.This paper is divided into three chapters.Firstly,an overview of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" is given,from the biography and cursive style of Wang Chongs and an overview of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script".Secondly,the characteristics of the calligraphic style and the causes of the style of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" are analyzed,comparing the calligraphic style of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" with the cursive style of calligraphers of the same period and the early cursive style of Wang Chong’s.Finally,the copying and copying of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" are analyzed.Finally,we explore the copying of Wang Chong’s "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" and his own creative thinking,and repeatedly experience the artistic style of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" from the copying and creation.This paper uses case study analysis,comparative analysis,and image study to comprehensively explore the artistic characteristics of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" and reveal the state of Wang Chong’s life in his later years and the transformation of his cursive calligraphy style.This paper combines the poetic and technical aspects of "Five Songs of Remembrance in Self-Script" with each other to derive its artistic characteristics,aesthetic features,and the artistic spirit of Wang Chong’s self. |
