| Calligraphy in the Yuan dynasty was dominated by the trend of comprehensive restorstion,and all styles of calligraphy,and various calligraphy styles developed greatly during the Yuan dynasty,producing rich artistic achievements.This dissertation focuses on the Yuan dynasty clerical inscriptions in the collection of the Xi’an Stele Forest,and adopts a research method that crosses the disciplines of calligraphy,history,and epigraphy to complement the research on the revival of the Yuan dynasty clerical script and the clerical inscriptions.This dissertation is divided into three parts,the first of which focuses on the cultural interpretation of the Records of the Great Yuan Rebuilding of the Temple of Xuan Sheng,in which the form of the inscription is introduced,and the cultural interpretation of the inscription is presented in three aspects:the revival of the Temple of Xuan Sheng in the Yuan Dynasty,the social conditions of the late Yuan from the inscription,and the introduction of the main characters of the inscription.The second part focuses on the calligraphic style of "The Records of the Grand Yuan Rebuilding of the Temple of Xuan Sheng",introducing the analysis of the calligraphic style of "The Records of the Grand Yuan Rebuilding of the Temple of Xuan Sheng" in the context of the revival of seal script in the Yuan Dynasty,and arguing the artistic value of "The Records of the Grand Yuan Rebuilding of the Temple of Xuan Sheng" through a comparative analysis of the style of "The Records of the Grand Yuan Rebuilding of the Temple of Xuan Sheng" and "Xi Ping Shi Jing".The third part focuses on the experience of the creation and creation of "The Records of the Great Yuan Temple of Xuan Sheng",and the application of the folding strokes of the stele,the strokes with the meaning of seal script and the solemn and neat chapter style in the future creation of clerical calligraphy.As a typical Yuan dynasty stele carving,the basic form of the clerical script established in the "Da Yuan rebuilt Xuan Sheng Temple" is of great significance and value to our study of the real state of the Yuan dynasty calligraphic style,as well as the dominant role of Confucianism in the formation of artistic style. |
