| In recent years,digital technology and the Internet have become increasingly prosperous,and new media documentaries have grown in strength as a result of technological advances.In this context,new media documentaries are gradually becoming more segmented and niche,and the styles are becoming more and more diverse,and the use of visual language,which is one of the most important parts of documentaries,has also become different.This is why it is necessary to review and summarise the language of video in new media documentaries.This thesis examines new media documentaries from the perspective of video language,including the digitalisation of video language,aesthetic style,visual language,auditory language,long shot language,editing language,narrative language and many other aspects.The thesis uses the methods of literature research,case study and creative practice.Firstly,it systematically compares the relevant academic literature and research materials on new media documentaries;secondly,it observes and analyses representative new media documentaries at home and abroad,observes and analyses the characteristics of their video language,the relevant digital technology they use,and gives appropriate examples;thirdly,it combines the creative practice of individual works to analyse in detail the use of video language in new media documentaries.Thirdly,the use of video language in new media documentaries and its stylistic presentation are analysed in detail in relation to the creative practice of one’s own work.This thesis takes the concept of video language as the main subject,and combines it with many excellent new media documentary works to study how video language influences new media documentaries,and then partially reinforces the study through personal creative practice.The aim of the research is to clearly articulate the concepts,development history and characteristics related to new media documentaries and their image language,and to provide an active role in the research and creation of new media documentaries.The thesis is divided into the following five parts: the first part is the introductory section,which clarifies the research background,significance,methodology and innovation of the chosen topic,as well as a review of the relevant literature and the current state of research;the second part defines and elaborates on the relevant concepts involved in the text;the third part elaborates and gives examples of the aesthetic style and relevant digital technology of the research topic in a fractal manner,and through the use of image language in specific works,the fourth part focuses on the impact of the use of video language on new media documentaries,citing relevant cases and providing a more detailed analysis and elaboration.In the fifth part,we analyse and reflect on the use of video language in our own works,combining the use of camera shots,scene selection and simultaneous sound in our works,and analyse the intrinsic components of video language in our films,as well as the impact and artistic effect of the specific video language chosen. |
