Edvard Grieg was a representative figure of the Norwegian national music school active in the second half of the 19 th century in the European music scene."E minor piano sonata" is also the only piano sonata genre work in his entire music composition career.In his works,Grieg launched the application and development of Norwegian folk music,broke through the traditional writing skills,displayed his personal musical characteristics,and promoted Norwegian music to the world,and helped establish the national identity of music,and promoted the development of Impressionism.This article is mainly divided into the following four parts.The first part mainly tells about Grieg’s music life,the creation background of "E minor piano sonata(op.7)" and the national music characteristics play a role in understanding the background of this article;The second part mainly analyzes the music itself from the aspects of musical structure,tonality,rhythm,etc;The third part mainly tells about the performance practice.It summarizes the technical difficulties in the melody trend,octave playing skills,and pedal use in the multi voice part of the E minor Piano sonata,as well as its own practice experience and experience based on the stage practice,in order to bring help and inspiration to future learners of this work.
